I'll say this - there will be an extreme shortage of, if any, 7-4 teams in the field of 20 this year. Take a look at the schedules, I don't see that many losses for some of these teams in the SoCon, the Big Sky, the MVFC, the CAA. There are only 10 at-larges to go around.
The GSU/AppSt game will most likely be for one of them to get to 8-3, the other ends 7-4.

Fortunately EWU and NAU both won one of their I-A games. But's that is more the exception than the rule. UD has decided to not only to drop their DII game, but to also stop scheduling any I-A's in 11 game years. For most teams, they need one I-A game to make ends meet. We certainly don't need to do it financially, but I enjoy seeing us play regional FBS teams like the UWs.
