No NDSU DB is in the top 250 of the 2013 NFL draft rankings...but Iowa at least has one in there.

Just an FYI, there are only 7 Seniors on the Bison squad this year, not sure any of them are on the class of 2013 draft rankings. In fact I'm not sure any of them are starting.

Iowa and Wisconsin are not top tier Big 10 this year, better than the Goofers yes, and yes I would take our D Backs over all 3 teams.

This NDSU homerism is getting ridiculous. Clearly none of you have heard of Micah Hyde or you wouldn't be saying asinine things like "NDSU's DBs are better than Iowa's and Wisconsin's." I know this is a FCS site and we all love the little guy in one way or another, but there's a reason that not many FCS guys in the MVFC get Big Ten offers- they're not the class of athlete that the B1G guys are. No NDSU DB is in the top 250 of the 2013 NFL draft rankings...but Iowa at least has one in there. Yes, Iowa and Wisconsin are not having traditional Iowa and Wisconsin years, but they'd still beat NDSU in their stadiums. You might not like it, but it's true.

Regardless, none of that is here nor there...still sticking to my UNI in a close one prediction. They NEED this game. NDSU doesn't. I'll take the home team with their backs against the wall, especially because it's a team like UNI that you know has a lot of pride and will put their best foot forward against NDSU.

With a healthy Heagle the Bison secondary is pretty damn good. MW will get drafted next year and Heagle, when healthy, could play in the Big 10 at safety.

Normally I root for a UNI loss in this situation. However, it knocks the heck out of a quality MVFC school and pretty much puts them out of the playoffs. I don't like that. I hope UNI wins, but I just don't see it happening
NDSU's secondary is better than the B10 schools? Get over yourselves. FCS DB's do not cover the quality of receiver that a B10 DB does. Your statement is ridiculous. Granted the QOTD on ESPN was John Kincaid saying: "The Big 10 is wide open, like the opening of a toilet is wide open." The reason you say you would take them over the others is because you have them already.

If Heagle was healthy I would put our secondary up against most Big 10 teams but he isn't so I can't justify it. Yes, Heagle is that good.

All I had to say was that the Bison's DBs aren't as good as the average Big Ten group and now I get labelled as "self-proclaiming" against other Bison fans.

No, this is not self-proclaiming. This is called debate. If you want to talk to people who only agree with you and will not challenge your opinions, go back to Bisonville. Jeez, you pick against NDSU twice and suddenly you're the enemy. Since when was NDSU football a fascist state? Just for future reference, expect me to pick YSU in their game and NDSU in all of the rest of the regular season games.

Bison fans who are looking at UNI like they aren't as good or even bad this year are in for a rude awakening.
This game is on the road. Undoubtedly you will come back with some variation of "we beat Colorado State on the road," but that doesn't mean a whole lot in this game. UNI has considerably more experience playing against NDSU and road games are deathtraps for even the most well-seasoned and talented teams. How many top teams had undefeated years fall apart because they played an untimely road game?
Those who dismiss UNI are doing so at their peril.

You claimed that the Gophers are a worse team than both Iowa and Wisky. Ya, UW is probably better but the Gophs beat Iowa last year. Well, to me that means they were better. And this year we'll find out who is better come saturday Gophs vs Iowa. So you telling bison95 to take off the green and yellow glasses was off the wall IMO. Gophs were a better team than Iowa last year....they beat them head-to-head.

Tough game for the Bison tonight for sure.

The Bison need to have a consistent running game and use the play-action pass off of that. Being at home the Panthers will have a lot of energy initially. Bison need to weather the storm right away then play fundamentally sound defense and use field position to their advantage. IMO, the Bison defense will slow down the UNI offense and probably will create some turnovers. If the defense holds UNI under 20 points they win.

Should be a great game.

UNI is a decent team, but nowhere near as good as past teams. NDSU is really good, and definitely better than UNI this year.

Pretty good game. The 1 and only story of the game was the UNI turnovers. Silly mistakes that cost UNI the game.
