Yup, I'm sure we'll see wide swaths of empty seats in NFL stadiums this week as people boycott the NFL over this issue. Sure.

Let me know how it works out - I have to put in my waiver claims for my fantasy team now. I'll check back later.

Really dback...really?
For a guy like me who's grown up watching the NFL with no real favorite team
There is some truth that rings true in DBacks statement

New England and Green Bay Pittsburgh and Dallas have benefited from gift calls for decades
This new crop of admittedly crappy officials are not "in" with the ownership groups
The Ownership group and the Officials THREW a Super Bowl - The APEX of NFL showcase games
So now Goodell broke that union and broke that connection

yeah the replacement officials are bad
but their consistently BAD for everybody
The Ownership / Regular Officials were less bad - but throwing a game wasn't above them

Now the Elite ownership group of teams are being exposed to "all the way around" bad officiating
and that shit sandwich is unbearable

Goddell should fix this today, and I'm not talking about the solution that most of you are thinking.

Keep in mind the majority of the replacements are lower-level college refs, lingerie league refs, arena refs, etc. Rather than settle with the regular NFL refs, Goddell should just fire them all. By doing so the "scab" label is immediately gone. Then, the NFL can go out & hire the best available refs out there, whether they're BCS level college guys or others that aren't in the NFL currently b/c they didn't want to cross the labor line. Heck, after being fired some of the regular guys will come back on the NFL's terms anyway & they can select which ones, as some of the regular guys were just brutal to begin with as has already been pointed out on here.

Case closed & controversy over.

I can get behind this. Sort of like what MLB did with the baseball umps (although in that case the umps were stupid enough to in essence fire themselves and spare MLB the trouble). Of course, even then, Cowboy Joe West managed to sneak back into the league so there's no guarantee that some of the awful regular refs won't still make their way back.

But I like the tactic in this move - basically telling people to get over it and move on. As long as the option to have the regular officials come back is out there then whiners like ESPN will be crying for them to come back.

Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor would like to point out the last play of the game wasn't the only egregious blown call by replacement officials during Monday night's win over the Green Bay Packers.
Kam Chancellor wrote:im tired of them lame dudes talking, if it wasnt for them calling that weak PI call on me that was great coverage, they wouldnt of scored!!
Chancellor deserves credit for two things here: First, he didn't use any obscene language in his tweet, setting him apart from many of his brethren of late. Secondly, he's absolutely right about the call.

He's referring to a third-and-2 play with 11:31 remaining in the fourth quarter. With the Packers on Seattle's 47-yard-line and trailing 7-6, Aaron Rodgers targeted tight end Jermichael Finley on a short pass that was broken up cleanly by Chancellor.

The flags for defensive pass interference flew anyway. Eight plays later, the Packers were in the end zone.
Exactly what I've been saying. There were terrible calls and non calls all throughout the game. Both teams got hosed, and one of them had to win. I'm grateful that it was the Hawks, but those pundits and GB fans who act as if the only bad calls went against GB are being ridiculous.

Looks like we've finally found something on which President Obama, President Clinton, and Governor Romney agree: that was an interception.
