Experts

What do you guys think of "experts"?

This one cuts both ways as the left will be quick to cite "expert" opinions on global warming, and the right will be equally as quick to cite "expert" opinions on their pet issues.

Here's another "Moment of Clarity" to sort it all out.

He's kind of like a young, annoying version of Dennis Miller - he's got some valid points, but his delivery makes me want to kick puppies.

One situation which I've experienced is working for a company that was originally owned by Bain Capital and then sold to KKR. In both cases, both companies were trying to streamline us and sell us off for as much as possible. To do so, they send in a bunch of 22 yr old math whizzes and top tier MBA's to come in, interview everyone in the company, take the ideas that we've been telling our bosses for years, put them in a nice shiny presentation and get the accolades as experts for coming up with such "original" ideas. Upper management acted as if they never heard a single one of these ideas until spat from the mouths of wet-behind-the ears kids who went to top schools and had good presentation skills. Talk about going green - nothing like recycling ideas.

Ah, well then he's succeeded in this one because those were some shitty analogies.

BTW, why would making yourself look stupid be part of your schtick if you're trying to talk about serious topics? I guess he went to the DB1 School of Schtick.

Yes, the best comedians are self deprecating. Not that Stewart's or this guys stand up are funny . :suspicious:

I've lived through that, fun stuff! Who did they bring in? McKinsey Consulting, BCG or some other group of experts?
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.
