Of course, all that is true, but just like in Edison's day, the problem with DC power distribution, as it would be from photoelectric cells, eludes us just as it eluded Edison. If we didn't have that problem Tesla and his AC wouldn't have become the accepted method for electrical distribution. Fortunately, we are a long time away until oil and coal (and natural gas) run out. Way too many technological hurdles to be overcome. We couldn't possibly have solar on a large scale for at least 50 years, maybe 100.
