You want a strong response? Here it is:
A senior U.S. official told CNN that American surveillance drones are expected to join the hunt for jihadists who may be tied to the attack. The drones are expected to gather intelligence that will be turned over to Libyan officials for strikes, the official said.
But two American destroyers also are being moved toward the Libyan coast, two U.S. officials told CNN. Both the USS Laboon and USS McFaul are equipped with satellite-guided Tomahawk cruise missiles that can be programmed to hit specific targets.

Should have had a couple of .50 caliber machine guns on the roof and took care of the mob as they attacked American soil.....

Problem was that it was the consulate and not the embassy, so there weren't as many guards to protect them.

Where were the Marines and local intelligence? I don't mean to speak ill of the Marines, just that there was no immediate strong defense to any of the attacks (including the ones occurring now) - if it turns out that this is by design and high-level policy (don't want to inflame local sensibilities), then this could really blow up in Obama's face...

As for the strong response - million dollar cruise missile up a camel's ass?

This!

If I'm Obama - through the CIA I encourage all the radicals to demonstrate just outside the embassy walls, and then I lob a Tomahawk right into the middle of the throng and we report it as a suicide bomber. There's plenty of those over there.

The attack in Libya wasn't the Embassy, so less security. No clue why the Egypt Embassy was over run like it was.

There were no Marines guarding the US Consulate in Benghazi. It's hard for them to defend when they are not physically present.

At the end of WWI, the Treaty of Versailles put the Germans in a tough situation and when the economy went south the German people were more susceptible to a demagogue. Contrast that with the Marshall Plan at the end of WWII and the results are markedly different.

Chamberlain's appeasement strategy did start WWII but it did have a dramatic impact when & how it was played out. Who knows how the war would have gone if England, France & Russia had stood up to Hitler sooner.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Without the Treaty of Versailles, the conditions that led to Hitler's rise would have likely not existed.

As for the the appeasement - all it did was delay the war. Hitler was a power-hungry meglomaniac who would have attacked neighboring countries regardless.

"I am not surprised that senior Libyan leaders were among the first to condemn the horrific attack that killed Chris and his colleagues. And that is why I was not surprised to learn from our Secretary of State that many Libyans fought to defend our people and our consulate in Benghazi when they came under attack, that some were wounded while doing so, and that it was Libyans who sought to get Chris and his colleagues to the hospital. This is the spirit of the Libyan people that I have come to know and admire. And that is why we cannot afford to view the despicable acts of violence perpetrated yesterday by a small group of fanatics as in any way representative of the country and the people of Libya." - John McCain

Again, not blaming the Marines. Blaming whoever dropped the ball on sending an ambassador-level person to a dangerous post without adequate protection, especially around 9/11. Don't we ever learn?

The catholic church partnering with Hitler didn't help either.

LMAO about "appeasement", ask OBL if he feels appeased!

This administration has killed more known terrorists, and more high level terrorists hands down than our last so called "war president" and yet neocons and retardlicans are shooting their mouths off about appeasement and being soft on terror and foreign policy.

And totally stupid hick boys at home are eating up every bit of it and accepting it as fact.

Just what we need is another chicken hawk who spent his days during the Vietnam War peddling mormon propaganda around Paris ready willing and able to send other people's kids off to war in every country that flips us off.

War economy, that's how Mittens plans to fix this economy.
