My 8-3 prediction is looking optimistic for UD at this point. The final scores do not reflect the way they've played in these first two games. They really need to go out and ass-pound Bucknell next week and show us something. The way they look right now, the CAA will put at least four losses on us.

Agreed. This is not a playoff team. I see a 6-5 or 5-6 season from what I've seen so far.

The UD Athletic Department has done its level best to leech off of and neglect the football program, its cash cow. It looks like there may be some realization of this on their part: several new initiatives to scratch the back of the football season ticket holder have been implemented this year. Still, they have a long way to go.

Regarding this football season, most of us UD fans thought the D would be our strength. Unfortunately, and this is not an excuse but reality, our defense has been decimated by injuries throughout preseason and the first two games and is now a major liability. On offense, Hurley has been even better than expected, but he is taking a severe beating behind a sieve of an offensive line, which we knew was a concern going into the season. Andrew Pierce appears to be running with stick 'em on the soles of his cleets, perhaps because of Keeler's policy ofbasically keeping him on the shelf throughout the last two preseasons. Hopefully he gets the wheels greased up. Luckily, we have multiple other RBs looking good. WRs are terrific.

In summary, if we don't get the OL and D moving in the right direction, your ODU boys should beat us by 20+ this year.
