They did beat Grambling on the road, and Grambling is only the greatest team that ever sets foot on a college football field every year (according to a certain poster on a board that I frequent). That should be good for something.

JMU 1st qtr wasn't sharp. Three 15 yard penalties, Thorpe threw a pick in the endzone (Alcorn fumbled it right back) and Dae'Quan Scott fumbled a knuckle ball punt that Alcorn recovered. Yet still managed to be up 14-0 at the end of the 1st.

Rushing: 9 carries, 101 yds, 1 TD

Birdsong was 3-5 passing, 50 yds, 1 TD

Dae'quan Scott:

JMU had 416 yds total offense to Alcorns 250, but a good chunk of that came against JMU's backups in the 2nd half.

Alcorn was attempting a 44 yd FG in the 3rd qtr. Missed it but called offsides on JMU, so got another attempt at 39 which they made. Cost JMU a shutout.
