And he believes that when you’ve worked hard, and done well, and walked through that doorway of opportunity…you do not slam it shut behind you…you reach back, and you give other folks the same chances that helped you succeed

I'll paraphrase what I read this morning, but I liked how it was said that they aren't trying to be divisive, but that Romney was born a child of privilege. If you swing a dead cat in any room full of Congressmen 95% of what you hit will be children of privilege. Portraying Obama as an everyman is a pretty tall order. Based on the speeches from our nutrition and exercise first lady and Julian Castro they seem to have different messages on separating the haves from the have nots.....keep in mind Castro is a Stanford undergrad and a Harvard law grad, just like the rest of us.

San Antonio mayor Julian Castro, who was plucked from relative obscurity to give the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention, on Tuesday assailed Mitt Romney as a son of privilege who does not understand that many Americans can't rely on their families to help them succeed.

"Mitt Romney, quite simply, doesn't get it," said the 37-year-old Castro. "A few months ago he visited a university in Ohio and gave the students there a little entrepreneurial advice. 'Start a business,' he said. But how? 'Borrow money if you have to from your parents,' he told them. Gee, why didn't I think of that?"

"Some people are lucky enough to borrow money from their parents, but that shouldn't determine whether you can pursue your dreams," continued Castro. "Not in American, not here, not in the 21st century. I don't think Governor Romney meant any harm. I think he's a good guy. He just has no idea how good he's had it."

Interesting that the donks had grandiose plans to fill 74k Bank of America stadium. When it became clear they weren't going to come close to filling it they moved it to a 20k capacity Time Warner Cable arena, coming up with a convenient excuse of bad weather.
