I hit it on only the third try?

Wait, you mean to say that Obama cares about the troops...and that he doesn't want to appear tough on the bad guys? Please cite a reference where it indicates Obama cares about the troops...truly cares. You know, not like that Bush guy running with the soldier...because that didn't satisfy you. Go ahead, find something...

And you mean to say that Obama doesn't have a massive ego and that you think Obama is demonstrating intelligence with regard to our military actions in Afghanistan? Please cite some more credible references of such intelligence. I can't wait for the justifications of our war in Affy to start rolling in.
Wow a post from cluck that doesn't have a curse in it. I think I just saw a pig fly...

Here's an earlier one...same thread.
Cluck U wrote:
Change.

AQ is no real threat in Affy...the Taliban don't want Arabs ruling them.

The only reason AQ is still in Affy and Pakistan is that WE are in Affy and the Taliban needed weapons and AQ's funding and training. As soon as we leave, the Taliban will likely kick out any remaining AQ influence and go back to running their country.

But wait, won't a fundamentalist Muslim country attack the U.S. again? Anyone who thinks that AQ will be allowed to expand their operations in Affy, or that the Taliban will threaten our future, is as dumb as the people who thought the Cubans, Nicaraguans, and Vietnamese would be planning the downfall of the U.S after we left.

Training the Affys to defend themselves. Didn't we do that 20 years ago when the Russians were there?
I've got 3,000 more of them...get some new reading glasses and open up your narrow mind, shithead. :tothehand:

First result from a quick Google search. Yeah, I know it's the terrorist news network, but take it FWIW.

The issue was the threat to decouple Iraq's (our) oil from the dollar. :coffee:

Yes, and you begin your conversations with such a warm, "civil" welcome. :dunce:

Once again, you read exactly what you want to read...and as long as you do you will remain a simple minded person who doesn't want to learn anything.

Read the article.

You really don't understand what you are posting, do you? You grab a headline and that's it...you're off and running down the block with little understanding of what you didn't actually read.

From the article:

"Prior to the 2003 invasion and occupation of Iraq, US and other western oil companies were all but completely shut out of Iraq's oil market," oil industry analyst Antonia Juhasz told Al Jazeera. "But thanks to the invasion and occupation, the companies are now back inside Iraq and producing oil there for the first time since being forced out of the country in 1973."

Isn't that what you were asking for? What part of the article do you take issue with?

You mean there are still people who think the Iraq war wasn't about oil and stock portfolio's..?
The Vice Presidents personal portfolio tripled in 6 months after the war started
and that was before his company got the multi-billion dollar no contest bids

Seriously... that cat's been out of the bag for almost a decade
