Jeezus dawg, you gotta quit reading HuffPoop, Media Matters, Kos, and Donk Underground so much. Yeah, and please turn off MSNBC. You couldn't be more uninformed if you tried.

Here is what Romney said, in its entirety.
"There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that obviously is not something which is encouraging. Because there are three parts that makes Games successful.

"Number one, of course, are the athletes. That's what overwhelmingly the Games are about. Number two are the volunteers. And they'll have great volunteers here. But number three are the people of the country. Do they come together and celebrate the Olympic moment? And that's something which we only find out once the Games actually begin."
Please show me where exactly in that quote Romney said London wasn't ready for the games. :coffee:

Comparing that little quip to Obama bowing to Saudi oil kings, telling Sarkozy in front of a gaggle of reporters how he hated Netanyahu, how Israel's borders need to be moved back to 1967 lines, calling Nazi death camps "Polish" death camps in a speech, playing golf the day of the former Polish president's funeral, telling Medvedev on a hot mic how he could be more "flexible" after the election regarding a European missile defense program, sitting on his hands and more importantly keeping his mouth shut during the Iranian Green Revolution in 2009, etc, etc, etc. is moronic.

Nice try, fat boy, but if it was so innocuous why were the Brits pissed off? Your hero ain't ready for the world stage, bubba.

Actually, I question whether or not you actually know what Romney said. Let's not get into discussions about feckless foreign policy.

He spoke the truth about culture in the Middle East and he pissed off the Palestinians. BIG DEAL. Considering that Israel is the #1 recipient of US foreign aid, and that the #1 goal of the Palestinians (and others) is the complete destruction of Israel, I'd say that not pissing off the Palestinians is not a foreign policy priority, but if you are the hyperbolic type (and you are, HD) then sure, it is earth shattering.

The other thing Romney did was called the security company screw up was "disconcerting".

Oh my God! Let's all go to DEFCON 4!!

The British Army had to be called in to cover the gap, so I think Romney's decision to say anything at all was a little off, but what he did say was perfectly appropriate.

Romney's comments were a non-event for everyone except low information partisans like you.
Well I guess you must know, being a career government employee and all.

You seem a little dyspeptic today sydney, did those 11 year old vietnamese girls raise the price of poon or something?
HD if you paid closer attention you wouldn't be so wrong so often. Cases in point:

A) I have been back in the US since April.

B) Romney did not say that the Brits werent ready for the Olympics. He said the issue with the security company was disconcerting.

The only people acting pissed were the hypersensitive politicians like the mayor of London. It covers their arses for the later political fallout over whoever contracted that company to begin with.

But yes, while we are being hyperbolic, I am sure the UK is about to pull out of NATO over it.

Tell you what... remind me about foreign policy experience again when the UK gets thrown under the bus over the Maldives. THEN you'll see pissed off Brits.

Jeezus Christ, Geriatricdawg, we're talking about the hypersensitive Brits here. You're being just as whiny as they are.
Romney could go to Tahrir Square in the middle of Cairo and take a dump on the Koran and be a better a better foreign policy president than what we have now. :coffee:
