I would think so too Jon. I personally view the first as a much more serious crime. No doubt both need to be punished.

I don;t think that there are degrees of rape, but two things to consider:

Ease of prosecution. I think it would be a lot easier to prosecute the guy with a knife and ski mask than it would be to prosecute the cock blocked date.

Sentencing. The date might get a lighter sentence than the knife guy. Although that might be due to the fact that the knife guy is probably guilty of more than just rape.

In one sense it is but it's different than that too, I think. There can be a situation in which both male and female are "hot" and the female is enthusiastically "making out" with the guy, maybe even doing things like fondling his cock, perhaps even going so far as to suck on it some, etc. But she does not want to go "all the way." If at some point the guy "goes all the way" without her consent it becomes rape.

I can remember an incident where I almost did that. I was at a training course and met a woman from Canada. We were like making eye contact in class the whole week, etc. On the last night we'd be there she actually asked ME if she could come to my room to spend the night. We're in bed naked making out, etc., me on top and the whole time I think I'm going to get laid.
