Phil Steele's FCS College Football Preview

Post by JackParty »

Finally someone who knows their stuff  is jumping on the NAU bandwagon.

The Lumberjacks are listed at No. 14 in Phil Steele's FCS College Football Preview magazine to hit newsstands soon. NAU is among three Big Sky schools in the top 15, including Montana State at No. 15 and Eastern Washington at No. 7. Montana is ranked No. 20. Junior running back Zach Bauman and senior offensive lineman Trey Gilleo are both listed in the All-Big Sky first-team by Phil Steele.

Go Jacks!

I'm thinking the speed, athleticism and depth of NAU's defense is going to surprise a lot of people this year

Absolutely.

I don't blame the doubters and the haters because NAU has been inconsistent for so long.

But this year even the players are saying it feels so different. The chemistry is right.

They picked up some big transfers that will be impact players on both sides of the ball.

Their running attack features 4 very different, very talented running backs including a former Boise FB and Cal running back. Add Bauman and the secret weapon coming out of the backfield and can you say Dyanamic?

Trying hard not to be a homer but I can't wait. :thumb:
