Shoulda won

As our teams warm up for the start of the season, I think it's important for those of us whose teams are not going to go undefeated to warm up our excuses/rationalizations for the losses ahead. Not talking about the usual boring stuff - injuries, coaching gaffs, refs etc, but more origional, creative stuff. The Tribe has a tough schedule this year, so I may need plenty. What you got?

W&M shoulda won but the team was weakened by the removal of our feathers....thanks NCAA.

Rather than pre-planning excuses, I'd prefer to focus on eliminating "Inconsistent QB play" and "QB depth chart" from our vocabularies.
