PORTLAND STATE

#34 Zach Walen
Position: LB
Height: 6-3
Weight: 200
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Lake Oswego, OR
High School: Lake Oswego

Coach Burton says: “Zach Walen is a longer and more physical version of (PSU all-conference LB) Joel Sisler. He is very smart and he enjoys inflicting a little pain on the football field. It’s entertaining to watch his highlights: the way he can run, how long he is, how smart he is. He plays with passion and emotion. Hopefully, he continues to develop physically.”

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Son of Mark and Maggie Walen... born January 2, 1994... has one sister, Mackenzie... would like to major in Business... hobbies are bike riding, lifting weights, playing video games and playing with his dog, Bear... father Mark was a Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year in 1985 at UCLA and went on to play in the NFL.
