An article came out with some details on the benefits of CCU President, Dave DeCenzo.
The president of Coastal Carolina University is getting a retirement package of up to $1 million.. He is currently paid $307,000 a year by the university and the Coastal Carolina University Housing Foundation, including a housing allowance and other perks.
"What I'm saying is: You might have taken care of your wolf problem, but everyone around town is going to think of you as the crazy son of a bitch who bought land mines to get rid of wolves."
Salaries of the Presidents of Utah's regional university presidents:
Weber State University • $210,000
Utah Valley University • $205,000
Southern Utah University • $200,000
Dixie State College • $180,000
Some caveats: doesn't include benefits or pay they might receive for other functions they may do for the university or paid for from endowment, this is the state's compensation. Several refused a pay increase last fall (but this was generally accomplished by donating the raise to charity, which nobody will probably notice next year). Weber State's president is turning over, so that salary likely will be negotiated with whomever they select.
One other caveat, they get an additional 14% added to their 403B retirement account in addition to salary.
Btw Andy, it looks like your last Prez, who was lured off to UMass, was making about $400K. The new Prez is making considerably lower according to The Sun:
Loeschke, whose annual salary will start at $275,000, said she's not ready to reveal her specific plans for Towson and won't do so until she has met with numerous faculty members and students. "I'm not coming in with ideas to shove down people's throats," she said.

I think Caret was making $400-450K before he left for umASS, where is is reportedly amking over 600K.
He renovated the President house significantly. So that works into her new compensation.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."
Drew Faust of Harvard made almost $875K in salary and benefits in 2010. Pretty good coin for a playoff party pooper , but the president of Harvard Management Company -- the school's endowment investment group -- made over $8 million.
- Base pay: $400,000 (382k after furloughs)
- Relocation bonus in 2009: $100,000
- Car allowance: $9000
- Free mansion to live in
- Free state-owned Prius to drive around
- Regularly catered meals for "university business purposes" of course... (to give you an idea of cost, the catering company bills iced tap water at $5.25/gal)
- Got her husband gifted a job as "Faculty Assistant to the Vice Chancellor" for $142,000
- One free case of pepper spray
University of Northern Colorado President Kay Norton has a base salary of $212,500 and deferred compensation of $32,000. She also receives a $46,000 housing and car allowance.
