If I was Romney...hell no. He doesn't need this thing to go anymore in the direction of classism than it already has. And if there weren't some not-so-flattering issues hiding in there he would have showed them already. But without seeing for sure, there's only so much play with this and it will eventually go away.

Should he from an honesty standpoint? Hell yes. HIs father had the sincerity to do it.

Agree, particularly for the bolded parts for all candidates. I'm guessing not only is that why Romney is not sharing tax returns and Obama has spent considerable cash in keeping his college records hidden.

I have no idea what Romney doesn't want out, but would guess that his effective tax rate is very low and also guess that Obama may have claimed something such as being born in Kenya or being a Muslim to enhance his minority status for admission.

Either of their hidden information may or may not be based upon truth, but would be costly to them in a political campaign, even though it gave them an advantage at the time they made the claim for a different purpose.

Only reason Obama is pushing this is because he is not at the same level of wealth as Romney. If Obama was closer to Mitt, he would hid his returns like everyone else in congress does.

Besides, two years of tax returns are all that is required. Requirement met.

Personally, I think he should release them. It will probably be a PR disaster for him and his low capital gains taxes he pays.

I find it incredibly interesting that the very same people who are harping on Romeny to release his tax returns and financial statements are the very same people who think it is okay for the Obama administration to NOT release the Fast and Furious documents...

... I don't think Romney's tax retruns and financial statements killed anybody... just saying.
