Not really. A song just popped into my mind. Happens sometimes.Wedgebuster wrote:Damning, totally damning.Ivytalk wrote:With apologies to the great Engelbert Humperdinck:

Agree, particularly for the bolded parts for all candidates. I'm guessing not only is that why Romney is not sharing tax returns and Obama has spent considerable cash in keeping his college records hidden.kalm wrote:If I was Romney...hell no. He doesn't need this thing to go anymore in the direction of classism than it already has. And if there weren't some not-so-flattering issues hiding in there he would have showed them already. But without seeing for sure, there's only so much play with this and it will eventually go away.
Should he from an honesty standpoint? Hell yes. HIs father had the sincerity to do it.

Yep.Pwns wrote:Mitt should say he releases his financial records the day Obama releases his transcripts from Occidental and Columbia.

Getting a C because you ditched class too many times isn't a crime. Tax evasion, if that' what Mitt did, is.BDKJMU wrote:Yep.Pwns wrote:Mitt should say he releases his financial records the day Obama releases his transcripts from Occidental and Columbia.

Yes, that could mean the federal slammer. Looks like Romney is in a corner, he comes clean he could be in Leavenworth, he does not come clean and he gets his guts stomped out in the election by the middle class.Grizalltheway wrote:Getting a C because you ditched class too many times isn't a crime. Well, if Obama claimed being born in Kenya or being a Muslim to increase his chances of admission that would be far more damaging than any tax evasion.Grizalltheway wrote:Getting a C because you ditched class too many times isn't a crime. Tax evasion, if that' what Mitt did, is.BDKJMU wrote:

Really? Federal tax evasion, by a presidential candidate is less damaging than something on an old college entrance application?BDKJMU wrote:Well, if Obama claimed being born in Kenya or being a Muslim to increase his chances of admission that would be far more damaging than any tax evasion.Grizalltheway wrote:

It is if he said he was born in Kenya...Wedgebuster wrote:Really? Federal tax evasion, by a presidential candidate is less damaging than something on an old college entrance application?BDKJMU wrote:

As much as I can, Brian. I'm no different from any other hard working American. This is a global economy and taking full advantage of our tax codes and offshore banking is perfectly legal."Mr. Romney, how much money do you avoid paying taxes on by keeping it in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands?"
When the bottom feeding takers decide to work as hard as I do at a wage that is competitive on the global labor market."Mr.Romney, you and your 1% control wealth equal to that of the bottom 90%. How much more do you need before you start creating those jobs we've been hearing about?"

When does Mott start asking about John Galt?kalm wrote:As much as I can, Brian. I'm no different from any other hard working American. Didn't stop Geithner and the other Obama appointees from getting their government job now did it? You know they will always blame it on whoever is doing the taxes.Wedgebuster wrote:Really?
