Mitt Romney's Financial Records...

Post by Wedgebuster »

Mitt says last year's tax return and this year's tax return when it is completed is the only two returns he is going to provide to the public as the GOP nominee and of course candidate for POTUS.

All Democrats smell a rat here, and apparently plenty of Republicans do too, what should Mitt do here that will do the least amount of political damage to his campaign?

Are personal financial disclosures important for those running for high public offices??

Pick a poll option with the thought of "what would be best for Romney's campaign" in mind.

Mitt should say he releases his financial records the day Obama releases his transcripts from Occidental and Columbia.

You really think 30-year old college transcripts are the same as current tax returns?

Red herring alert.

Mitt is hiding his tax evasion, plain and simple.

That is off limits according to the Obama campaign. We will see if they try to get that thing going, but It may be more of a liability than an asset for the Democrats. By saying nothing of it, maybe it is more of a liability for Mitt especially when talking about the extreme right wing of the party, the Religlicans.

I just like a good scandal, and Obuma is really missing out on this good little tid-bit.

Trip doesn't seem to be all that offended with it, why would Obima?

Who cares...
Romney is evading taxation (like every billionaire) and like probably 25% of the Senate
in the end only the middle class pay their proper taxed amount
and that's not changing any time soon

If I was Romney...hell no. He doesn't need this thing to go anymore in the direction of classism than it already has. And if there weren't some not-so-flattering issues hiding in there he would have showed them already. But without seeing for sure, there's only so much play with this and it will eventually go away.

Should he from an honesty standpoint? Hell yes. HIs father had the sincerity to do it.

Mitt's personal tax rate paid in 2010 is under 15%, betting his 2011 rate will be no more than that, can he afford to keep his records hidden from the public?

This subject looks to have teeth, I don't think it is going away. Wasn't Romney's GOP opponents in the primaries howling about this as well?

If he evaded taxes he is toast, if he continues the veil of secrecy he very well may be toast.

So maybe toast is better than toast, I see....
