They do need to know the national runner ups are the Bearkats, not Bobcats

Eh. I reviewed that list again. The conference is definelty better than the SWAC and MEAC. I guess we're conteders with the Patriot League. Nevermind, we're probably right where we need to be.

They mention the 4 GWFC teams moving to the BSC, even this
The depth of the conference is impressive with the likes of conference newcomers North Dakota, Cal Poly and Southern Utah (featuring QB Brad Sorensen)
but nothing about South Dakota moving to the MVFC? Must not be any kind of a threat to NDSU, UNI and the top teams in that conference. Or TSN has never heard of South Dakota.
2011 GWFC Co-Champs!!!!
Now Playoff Eligible!!

If the play on the field ever matched the fan enthusiasm, they would be #1.

Just kidding thought I would never say this but SWAC football needs a complete overhaul.

it was bound to happen, 9 game mandate, poor decision making, and poor OOC scheduling have killed the league.

I'd say the above has hurt the league, not killed it. I think participating in the playoffs would do a ton of good for the SWAC.

I think that's on the list but it's not as high. I miss the scheduling Southern had in the 90's. Home and homes with two Southland schools and a home and home with FAMU. At the time those were playoff caliber teams.

Agreed taking away the automatic playoff bid really hurt this great league a decade ago.Especially now that Prairie View has experienced a complete re-surgence in football.

Yes the Southland conference had playoff caliber teams and in some cases still do even now.Florida A&M has been a playoff caliber team since the release of ex-coach Bill Joe a decade ago before that they ruled the MEAC with that pass happy Gulf Coast attack.

I'd still have to put the Socon higher than the Big Sky. It's narrow, but an upper crust of App State, Georgia Southern, and Wofford. Compare that to Montana State, Montana, and E. Washington. It's pretty close. Can I just have them tie for 3rd? CAA is still #1 by virtue of its depth. I'm partial to the MVFC as a NDSU fan, but I'd have to put them tentatively at 2 going into 2012. NDSU, YSU, Northern Iowa, and the Illinois/Indiana State combo should be solid next year. South Dakota State will be interesting. I don't know how highly I should consider them.

To recap
1. CAA
2. MVFC
3. Socon
3. Big Sky
5. Southland
6. OVFC (they could be 5 by the end of the year)
