1) WILL YOU BE HAPPY OR SAD BY THE NEWS?
2) WILL THEY MAKE THE CONFERENCE BETTER? WHY?
3) WILL YOU LAUGH AT IDAHO BC THEY HAD TO DROP BACK DOWN TO 1-AA?

I would be very happy to have them back. They were a power house in the day and it was a blast playing them.

They would instantly make the conference stronger and more respectable.

I would not laugh at them. There was a day...when I still hated them....that I would have. At least they had the courage to try and more courage to come back.

Agreed, however does it really take courage to come back? What else are the gonna do?

I think they do have options left and they will try them before they return to the BSC. I don't think it is a done deal that they will come back. I think it would take more courage to bight the bullet and come back then to hang on to the BCS at all costs.

Same answer from me. I would leave it alone until their fans tried to use it as smack and then I'd start chopping away at them with it.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

With the improved Kibbie Dome and their history of success It would be a massive win for Idaho and the conference and we would be gaining a very close natural rival.

1) Happy, FCS or FBS what matters is that you start winning games.
2) Better, would not only give us an even # of teams but would make the conference stronger.
3) Only @ idiot fans that deserve it :thumb:

1) Glad, but don't think they are coming.
2) Yes, they had a good 1-AA program. 1-A, not so much.
3) No.

Downgrading their program from major college to small college with the likes of SUU and UNC would not be considered "a massive win for Idaho" by any Idaho fans I know and I know quite a few.

The size of their college would shrink? :?

There are several FCS programs including one to their immediate northeast that are far "bigger" programs than what Idaho currently is. They get less exposure than we do and that has been the case for quite awhile.

Aside from losing 22 scholarships, does anything else really have to be reduced? It's not as if their facilities or things like marketing need to. It's not as if the size and the scope of the program exploded once they moved up. If they stay on their game, I'm guessing they can move down without losing much of the fan base and donors.

BTW, nice choices in using SUU and UNC as a comparison.

If they came back to the FCS their facilities - outside of the dome, are pretty nice as they have put a lot of money into their weight room etc.

It doesn’t sound like much came out of the WAC meetings earlier this week, which I take it to mean there is no plan to save it even as an Oly sports conference. Anyone hear differently? I would have thought invites to Bako and UVU would have been sent out immediately. They do have until the end of June to figure something out, but that is a very tight timeline if the WAC wants to maintain FBS status.
