Thank you MR. Big Brother knows whats best for us, politically correct, prince of southern Minnesota. We will remind you when they don't allow kids under 18 to fish for safety reasons. There are many people over the age of 18 that cannot run farm machinery safely. It comes down to learning how to operate the machinery correctly and respecting the danger. Like when you are fishing, remember to wear your life jacket when in a boat. You do wear a life jacket, don't you.

Ok, SK. Maybe there are big tomato farms out there that are or have been employing underage workers. I imagine those under aged, underpaid workers are probably mostly migrants.

The unintended consequences of all this are that the small family farms are going to be affected. I can't help but think that these large corporate farms will be able to absorb penalties a little more easily than the mom and pop operations.

Could the aim of all this be more easily achieved using existing child labor laws and enforcing the laws that are already in place that govern employing migrants? Seems like this stuff has ready been covered.
