I'll give you a couple hours.
Reading is fundamental, Brother Ayers, ;)

Never said they were started by a Donk prezzy. That's why I clearly stated they were started under a Donk president, and you can't deny the fact that those "wars" were.

I never said some weren't justified or were started for nefarious reasons. That's why I said I wasn't serious from the very beginning. :thumb:

It's Friday...unwind a little, dude. :kisswink:
It would be more accurate to state that our involvement began under a Democrat.

No, it wouldn't. Vietnam is an example.

Cap'n, thanks for the best wishes.

When is the next time you and your fat dumb brother are coming to visit? I remember last time, we goosestepped our way into the UNI dome like we owned the place and ate a black guys chicken and biscuits! Whooo your brother wore the nuns habit at the tail gate party and I almost lost my swastika lapel I laughed so hard!!

He really can eat 61 hot dogs the hard way!

You two whomp big time! Text me up when you guys head out my way and I will make sure to load up on gravy, pork chops and put the pigeons away.

Keep writing, your stuff is pure gold. Ever think about a career change? You would be a great fiction writer, your brother could ghost write with you and the church wouldn't know what hit them!

I didn't state which wars. :coffee:

Besides, are we counting actual wars or "conflicts"?

From a Constitution standpoint, we've only been involved in 5 official wars: War of 1812, Mexian-American War, Spanish American War, WW1 and WW2.

We've had about 12 AUTHORIZED Military engagements (Iraq 1 and 2, Vietnam, Barbary Wars, Lebanon).

The War Powers Act was used as Justification for Grenada, Panama, Iraq 1, Kosovo, Somalia and I think Bosnia.

Korea was authorized under the UN and Congress did appropriate funds.

But, if you DON'T want to use the Constitution as a basis for official wars, then the number of wars is higher and could probably include things like Libya, Tehran, Nicaragua, etc...

September 1950 - Truman sends the Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG) Indochina to Vietnam to assist the French. The President claimed they were not sent as combat troops, but to supervise the use of $10 million worth of US military equipment to support the French in their effort to fight the Viet Minh forces.

Following the outbreak of the Korean War, Truman announces "acceleration in the furnishing of military assistance to the forces of France and the Associated States in Indochina…" and sends 123 non-combat troops to help with supplies to fight against the communist Viet Minh.

1951 - Truman authorizes $150 million in French support

Clinton is to be trusted. He has never lied to American Public.

Gil, when you find the declaration of war, post it. You won't find it. You'll find appropriation of funds under and an UN Resolution.
