The shooting is similar to a handful of fatal shootings in 2007, including one in March of that year in which a woman and her brother-in-law were found dead by Pima County sheriff's deputies after men with high-powered weapons opened fire on a truck loaded with 21 other immigrants about 25 miles south of Tucson. The men were part of a so-called "rip" crew looking to rob other smugglers of drug loads.

It seems you have overlooked a couple of key word and phrases here. The first is "work permit". That means documentation. It does not mean tolerating undocumented and illegal aliens. The second is "taxes". It does not mean sending all of their money back to Mexico or some other shit hole.

I support both of those. I support expanding work visas for migrant workers that allows them to be here and work in this country legally and a way to collect taxes.

Reagan was referring to those who came here legally. He wasn't advocating open borders.

Most Republicans don't have a problem with people who come here LEGALLY and respect our laws: are working LEGALLY and aren't committing identity theft. Heck, my gf is an immigrant. Guess what? She and here family came here (late 70s) LEGALLY.

Well, I don't know if they were "right wingers" or not. But if it were up to me we would deploy our military along the border and make it known that those who attempt to enter the Untited States from Mexico illegally would be met with deadly force. To me it's a national security issue and it shouldn't be allowed. Period.

Of course if it were up to me we also would not allow children of illegal aliens in schools nor would we allow any illegal aliens to benefit from any programs here. We would make it as miserable and dangerous as we possibly could for anyone attempting to come to the United States without going through the established processes.
