Obama accepting illegal contributions

Post by CitadelGrad »

... both domestic and foreign.

It is inconceivable that the Obama campaign disables all credit card security measures (unlike every other presidential campaign) for any reason other than to facilitate violations of the campaign finance laws. The Obama campaign has deliberately set up its fundraising system so that legal contribution limits can easily be circumvented, and illegal contributions from foreign nationals can be accepted.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

- Thomas Jefferson, in letter to William S. Smith, 1787

Though you Conks have tried, you've never stuck anything illegal to this Teflon president. Time to give it up and wait for 2032.

Four more years!!!

This may be the all-time dumbest post ever posted on a political blog.

That dumb fucker just copped to committing FRAUD - ACTUAL FRAUD in a blog post.

When you donate online - when you submit a donation, you are certifying that you are a legal resident who is legally allowed to make a contribution - that you are doing so with your own funds and that you are over 18. It's the same online fundraising form EVERY SINGLE CAMPAIGN IN AMERICA USES. Because it's the language the FEC REQUIRES.

The onus is on the INDIVIDUAL making the donation to not LIE about their situation. Campaigns audit their donations every quarter (presidentials and parties every single month), looking for names and donations that are illegal that make it through the system - it happens on both sides every single day - sometimes on purpose, sometimes by mistake... when they are found the campaign issues a simple refund and that is that. I promise you - having been the guy who has handled compliance for multiple campaigns... it happens every single day in the Obama office, and the Romney office, and the Santorum office, and Paul office... it's part of life on a big campaign.

Odds are very good this joker will be refunded - that's SOP... truth is, on a $3 donation - so little is required to be reported to the FEC (but is required to be kept in records) that it would almost certainly never be caught... happens every day on every campaign... the FEC is looking at donations in excess of $100 (either in one donation or in aggregate) - that's what must be itemized in an FEC report.

This is a moron who knows not thing one about how any of this works looking for a scandal where there absolutely isn't one... by the by - I'd wager you could make a similar donation to any of the GOP candidates with the info he provided and not a single one of them would stop it either... but again... presenting yourself as an incarcerated person when you are not one is also an act of fraud... just sayin'

Wait for 2032?

Not unless we get the 16 years of Clinton that we're likely owed.
