O'Reilly - The no spin zone (except that every question I ask is filled with spin inorder to piss off my guest into not answering the question).JohnStOnge wrote:O'Reily always clobbered Oberman ratings wise. There was a time when there was a spate of stories about Oberman gaining ground but it was never really close.
However, O'Reiling is pretty bad too. I must admit that I watch his show sometimes. But the guy can be pretty dense. At least I think so.
Another thing is this thing where he refers to himself in third person. Like, "Talking points thinks that..." What? "Talking Points?" Talking points is a segment where YOU are expressing your opinion.
And he frequently says "we" when what he should be saying is "I."
I saw a female liberal kicking his arse this past week during a segment on the Supreme Court health care law case. I mean she was just tearing him up. But he's too dense to realize is arse was getting kicked.
O'Reilly is terrible. Oberman is worse.

Yeah, you just stay up on cable news ratings wars.CitadelGrad wrote:Not true. I believe Fox beats MSNBC in every time slot. I don't watch either though. Cable news is for idiots.dal4018 wrote: I liked him while at MSNBC always destroyed O'Reilly in his time slot.

I also know which network sitcoms and dramas are the most highly rated even though I watch very few of them. For example, I know that Modern Family is a top show, but I've never even seen one episode. It's just common knowledge. It's also common knowledge that Fox News programming clobbers MSNBC programming and most CNN programming.D1B wrote:Yeah, you just stay up on cable news ratings wars.CitadelGrad wrote:

never could understand why that cat was so angry ALL the time-he's the definition of a 1%er. At least most of the Fox guys seem happy about living the life.

Olbermann was funny at times, but was at his best while at SportsCenter. He became too much of a diva.
Does anyone even get the network/station he was on? Seems to me the best way to punish him would be to make him stay.

Where do you get your news? I agree cable news is stupid, although I sometimes watch Morning Joe on MSNBC. I usually get my news from BBC or Democracy Now!CitadelGrad wrote:Not true. Haven't listened to the BBC as much but those three are all good although Morning Joe is more infotainment than news. Democracy Now is a nice, stripped down, no frills, approach and very good.BigSkyBears wrote:Where do you get your news? I agree cable news is stupid, although I sometimes watch Morning Joe on MSNBC.
