As a result, Gallup's U.S. underemployment measure, which combines the percentage of workers who are unemployed and the percentage working part time but wanting full-time work, increased to 19.1% in February from 18.7% in January. This is an improvement from the 19.9% of February 2011.

First lady Michelle Obama on Monday told a fundraiser in Southern California of the toll the presidency has taken on her husband Barack Obama.

"I see the sadness and worry that's creasing his face," she said to a crowd of about 500 at the Pasadena luncheon organized by the Southern California Women For Obama. She described his worth ethic as "tireless," according to pool reports.

"He reads every word, every memo, so he is better prepared than the people briefing him," she said. "This man doesn't take a day off."

There's MSM for you in a nutshell, Bronco.

Donkey President gets away for a bit, it's presented as a "well-earned break."

Elephant President takes off for a while, he's "slacking on the job."

EVERY President, just like everyone else, needs time off or s/he'll implode. I really don't know how President Obama's breaks compare to those of other Presidents. But I HAVE seen that he and the First Family at least MAY be abusing the use of Air Force One and other government modes of transportation for these things. That may well be a concern, but until I see figures about the time off itself, I reserve judgement on THAT.

Every president "abuses" government transportation, but it's really just a perk of the job for being on the job during your vacation. I don't think GWB or Reagan were particular fans of clearing brush on their ranches, but it was a lot better than having to do nonstop video conferencing, gladhanding congress, etc.

Well then, you've obviously never cleared brush on a ranch. It ROCKS...it's as much fun as you can have with your clothes on!  :D

I didn't say that they didn't. All I'm saying is that there are indications that the Obama Family are taking "abuse of the system" to new extremes.

Don't worry.....once Santorum becomes President, all women will be required to stay home and breed children. There will be plenty of jobs for men to go around. :thumb:

When you're required to stay at home, please don't breed.
