Closed Circuit to Board Progressives: CPAC

Post by Cap'n Cat »

While switching channels, I stayed on the CPAC coverage on C-SPAN for about a half hour and that's all I could stand. Man, Lib's, don't you just get this irresistible desire to take a shower after listening to that shit they're spewin'? Ick. It's like turning the clock back to the time before women could vote and everyone hated "race music".

I enjoyed Breitbart
Looking forward to someone finally vetting Obama
Andrew Breitbart took the podium at CPAC Friday afternoon, introduced to the stage with Rage Against The Machine’s Guerilla Radio, and revealed to the audience he had “videos” of Barack Obama from his college days. “I have videos, this election we’re going to vet him,” Breitbart disclosed to raucous applause. “We are going to vet him from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008.”
This is a good video of
Daniel Hannan at CPAC

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. Al Swearengen

But none could doubt the movement’s swagger when Norquist fine-tuned his newest talking point about Mitt Romney. He predicted that the leadership of the conservative movement for the next 20 years will emanate from Congress, not the White House (a likely development for which Democrats seem unprepared).

“We’re not auditioning for someone to tell us what to do,” he declared. “We know what to do. We just need a president who can sign the legislation that the Republican House and Senate pass. … We don’t need someone to think. … We need someone who knows how to hold a pen.”

Warming to the idea of Mitt Romney as their obedient servant, the CPAC crowd gave Norquist a standing ovation...

Breitbart went on to tell a funny story about having dinner with former radical activist Bill Ayres (“He’s an excellent cook”) which mutated into a less-than-convincing conspiracy theory about how the real purpose of the anti-Vietnam War movement was to deliver Barack Obama (then an 8-year-old living with his mother in Indonesia) into the White House where he could betray America and steal your money. It was more entertaining than persuasive.

And the final speaker was Sarah Palin.

There's a number of intelligent and persuasive conks on this board and at this point I'm really beginning to feel sorry for you. :ohno:
