SC Republican Debate
Anyone watching? Already off to a hot start with Gingrich being asked about his wife thing. Didn't take it well.

I'm really beginning to like Ron Paul. Still doubt he'd accomplish much as President though.

Look at my beautiful city!!!!! Santorum has some good jab but as my wife stated, he's too emotional. Romney is calm and cool.

I thought ginbitch was going to have a heart attack with that question, one of the funniest things in a debate I have ever seen.

“We didn’t have a man or woman in the drone,” Trump explained to a confused America. “We had nobody in the drone. It would have made a big difference, let me tell you. It would have made a big, big difference.”

This country is going to hell in a handbasket faster than you can say "the president is a Kenyan terrorist" and we're worried about Gingrich's SEX habits?

How nice would it have been in the mid-90's if Newt was more focused on getting stuff done than the SEX habits of the then president. He claims to be a "values" candidate, but is offended when someone questions his "values." He's a joke, but the saddest thing is that South Carolinians will probably give the guy the primary. It's not the country, it's only the main stream media. Hell, if Newt was a Donk, the left would be applauding him and you wouldn't have heard one word. Look at the how the MSM still buries the John Edwards story. He was a VP candidate and running for the Democratic nomination and The Enquirer had to break the story.AZGrizFan wrote:This country is going to hell in a handbasket faster than you can say "the president is a Kenyan terrorist" and we're worried about Gingrich's SEX habits?

Its wasn't about Willie's sex habits. It was about lying under oath in a deposition under oath- you know, perjury.ASUMountaineer wrote:How nice would it have been in the mid-90's if Newt was more focused on getting stuff done than the SEX habits of the then president. To answer your post. I sure do know what perjury is, I believe we covered that in law school.
Note that Willie was acquitted of his perjury charges, and this all stemmed from what Lewinsky had denied. Newt was more than happy to peddle morality and claim a high ground, all while doing the same thing. He's a political opportunist that will say/do whatever he can in any particular moment to benefit himself, while criticizing others for doing the same. Perhaps this will make it - you know, clearer: Hypocrite = Hypocrite.

Re: SC Republican Debate
Why was Clinton being questioned under oath by Jone's attorneys? Yeah, that was about sex- sexual harrassment. Jones's lawyers decided to show to the court a pattern of behavior by Clinton that involved his alleged sexual harrassment against state & fed employees when he was gov of Ark. The judge ruled Jones was "entitled to information regarding any individuals with whom President Clinton had sexual relations or proposed to or sought to have sexual relations and who were, during the relevant time frame, state or federal employees."ASUMountaineer wrote:Did you do this on purpose on purpose?BDKJMU wrote:

To answer your post. I sure do know what perjury is, I believe we covered that in law school.Perhaps you can answer this question: why exactly was Slick Willie being questioned under oath? Oh yeah, his sex habits.
Note that Willie was acquitted of his perjury charges, and this all stemmed from what Lewinsky had denied. Newt was more than happy to peddle morality and claim a high ground, all while doing the same thing. You ask why was Clinton being questioned under oath? I assume you mean during his during his impeachment trial? That was about perjury and obstruction of justice, the 2 things he was charged with. And even though he was aquitted by Congress, he WASN'T by the court.
"On April 12, 1999, Wright found Clinton in contempt of court for "intentionally false" testimony in Jones v. Clinton, fined him $90,000, and referred the case to the Arkansas Supreme Court's Committee on Professional Conduct, as Clinton still possessed a law license in Arkansas.[1]
The Arkansas Supreme Court suspended Clinton's Arkansas law license in April 2000. On January 19, 2001, Clinton agreed to a five-year suspension and a $25,000 fine in order to avoid disbarment and to end the investigation of Independent Counsel Robert Ray (Starr's successor). On October 1, 2001, Clinton's U.S. Supreme Court law license was suspended, with 40 days to contest his disbarment. On November 9, 2001, the last day for Clinton to contest the disbarment, he opted to resign from the Supreme Court Bar, surrendering his license, rather than facing penalties related to disbarment."

Nice research. Yes, I was discussing his impeachment trial in congress as we were discussing Newt's hypocrisy during that trial. You should also make it clear that the court found him in civil contempt of court. He was not convicted on criminal charges.BDKJMU wrote:Why was Clinton being questioned under oath by Jone's attorneys? Yeah, that was about sex- sexual harrassment. Look, I'm not defending Clinton's actions, I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of Newt Gingrich. I'm not sure what your goal is, perhaps it is to defend Gingrich's actions. I have no time for Newt Gingrich as a candidate, he has proven time and again that he is not trustworthy.
