There is nothing to refute. Your original response to this topic... wasn't about the article. It was about a small sentence with which you take exception: "The official said 1,000 to 2,000 jobs would be cut, but the administration would do so through attrition; that is, as people routinely leave their jobs over time." The article wasn't about the 1-2,000 jobs that would be "cut" under this plan. You obviously think the federal government needs to cut a whole lot more jobs. Great. We disagree. I think it would not be a good thing for the federal government to shed 100k jobs with the economy like it is. There's nothing to refute. We just disagree on this. The thing is... the article wasn't about that... so why do you want to argue about it?

The crux of the article wasn't about the 1,000-2,000 jobs that he would cut (or more accurately phase out). The article was about merging redundant federal agencies... something conservatives have wanted for a very long time. I would think this would be something you would fundamentally support. But, instead of acknowledging it... you and others just want to post about how he isn't cutting enough jobs, or it's just an executive power grab, etc. Even if Obama does something you ultimately agree with (even if you believe he should do more) your reaction is to slam it REGARDLESS of whether you actually agree with the proposal or not. It's fucking obnoxious.
