I've been saying for quite some time now that if the Republicans were smart they would nominate Paul as he provides a clear conservative alternative to Obama. But Romney is going to get the big money backing in this and will win the nomination. This will not sit well with the anti-mormon christians and the true conservatives who recognize Romney for what he is...a Robama. Republicans are notoriously good at unification so we will see, but a long protracted primary coupled with low voter turn out for the above reasons does not bode well. The more time they have to get the primary settled and get behind Mitt, the better.
