That was actually the begining of this road to the championship for the NDSU BISON. The big win at Montana in 2003 and the announcement of Decision 1 were the big 1-2 punches that brought us here today, on the threshold of the FCS National Collegiate Football Championship.
The resentment of the little people from the smaller schools and some of the larger but more isolated programs in the West requires our understanding and patience as they work through their hate and anger issues. Its going to be difficult for them Lakes.

Yep that 2003 team that lost to UC Davis, UND and St. Cloud State.
Yes, it was a year of fits and starts but the legacy of the Division 1 BISON was written. The big win at Montana in 2003 was part of the 1-2 punch that started the road to the championship for the BISON.
In contrast none of those teams that beat the BISON in 2003 have amounted to anything except SCSU. NDSU rose to the #1 spot in the nation while in transition, had a set back and is now back in form in what is a new NDSU BISON Dynasty.

If the hating gil dopey and most of the others claiming NDSU I see on these boards are a fair sample Ill do my best not to meet anybody. Im traveling with some very deep rooted and true BISON fans. Some from our bunch have seen their boys on the field for the BISON. Some are legendary football players themselves.
