Regionalization Concept Gone Out the Window?

Of the 20 teams in the field this year, I've heard of 12 of them.

So, the MVC only gets 2 teams in because ISU, at 7-4, didn't have as good a resume as a 7-4 JMU (a team that only beat one weak team with a winning record) from the CAA.

Given those facts, how in the hell does the MVC, with their weaker conference, warrant 2 seeds?

I agree. No WAY a 9-2 CAA team should be in the play-in round.

Is this a "it's your first time, so no bye for you"?

that's really the only explanation I can find for this...

More like "We really want you guys to play each other to give us a storyline, and we couldn't justify giving NSU a bye so you're SOL"
