Re: EWU @ ISU
This is exactly what I've been wanting for a while... for Baldwin to keep the starters in while we have a big lead and just blow a team out... and breaking records in the process!!!
EWU 45
ISU 14
6:28 left.
EWU 45

Was that Mitchell's final TD as an Eagle?

Re: EWU @ ISU
I wonder if ISU will even try to run the ball next year.

Senior backup Nick Gauthier in now at QB... Mitchell's career at EWU is done. Dude didn't always play the smartest and threw a ton of picks, but damn he also put up a lot of yards and TDs. And a National Championship!

Re: EWU @ ISU
Mitchell's TWO year stats at EWU:
618/1008 (61%) 7505yds, 70tds/28ints... definitely earns the title of Gunslinger.
Edwards finishes the season with 95 receptions (EWU record), 1250 yards, and 19 TDs (ties EWU record)
Congrats to both, and all the Eagle Seniors for battling through a tough season!

There isn't. We went 6/7 down the stretch with backups for the most part.EWURanger wrote:We definitely dropped the ball this year. But finished strong winning 6 of our last 7. Not sure there is a better 6 win team out there right now.

In addition to all the gaudy passing stats, EWU ran the ball for a season high 181 yards, with Mario Brown getting 100 on 15 carries.

Either Junior-to-be Anthony Vitto, or RS-Freshman-to-be Vernon Adams, unless we bring in a transfer.SouthDakotaGrizzly wrote:Who replaces BLM at QB next year?
Adams seems like the favorite at this point... he's got a pretty good arm, good speed (4.5) and great awareness. He's very similar to McGhee.

Ya, talk about a love/hate relationship. Sometimes he could be so bad but most of the time amazing. Man, we have had such a run of outstanding QB's it will be tough to top. Next year with the receiving corps and O-line the next QB will also have an opportunity to be great as well, but 4000 yards in a season will be tough to beat.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Senior backup Nick Gauthier in now at QB... Backups (possible starters next year) on the OL got a lot of experience this year, but we do lose AA Chris Powers and an outstanding LT in Gabe Jackson. The WR corps though is/will continue to be ridiculous.clawman wrote:Ya, talk about a love/hate relationship. Sometimes he could be so bad but most of the time amazing.
