Both UD and UNI compete at the highest level of D1 basketball and neither has a chance to win.

Both UD and UNI compete for the FCS title, while they both have a chance to win, of the two only UD has done so.

I'd rather my team win a title, you seem happy with moral victories. Understood, since that's all you have right now.

-No, Delaware has no chance to win, because they are terrible. UNI does, as they have competed with the best and beaten the best on a consistent basis for an extended period of time. There is no mid-major title in basketball, and UNI competes with the big boys as well as almost any school our size.

-UNI has accomplished many, many great things across the board in its athletics. If anyone is accepting moral victories its you guys, hanging your hat on the success in mid-major football and absolutely nothing else.

But you haven't won it all. You're basing your argument on the fact that you compete with the big boys. In other words, you're basing your argument on moral victories.

Given the choice of winning an FCS title, or losing in the NCAA tourney. I'll take the FCS title, in part because I'm way more of a football fan than a hoops fan.

Good grief, can you almost be somewhat sure about what you sort of believe about the partially competetive team in which you might in some unmeasurable way support, at least half-way, since they are not, in your mind, on a fair playing field due to their inability to capture enough funding or student interest?

How about both sides (UD fans vs ODU and now UNI fans) stop accusing the other of not understanding the issue. It's very simple:

1. Will UNI, ODU, or UD ever win a championship in D1 basketball? No.

2. Will UNI, ODU, or UD ever win a conference title in D1 basketball. Yes, all three have multiple.

3. Will UNI, ODU, or UD ever win a championship in D1 football? Yes. I provided photographic evidence.

That being said, UNI and ODU are still 0'fer on #3.

I don't follow your logic. If Cluck didn't post here before, but now he does, how does that translate to "doing a number on him"? Seems to me that the guy who stopped posting is the one who had a number done on him and the guy who is posting did the numbering.
