I would think if SHSU decided NOT to bid it could be played in Wa-Griz, but I don't think that would happen.

I'm with AZ on this one....Winning an opening round game (while now technically is playoffs) for me isn't enough. Most of those are teams that weren't good enough to get into the field of 16, but the NCAA wanted to try to make more money so allowed them in as well.

If the higher seeded team declined to bid that amount, and the lower/un-seeded time did bid that amount, then the lower/un-seeded team may get to host. However, if the higher seeded team did bid the minimum, then the lower/un-seeded team's bid amount matters not.
(if a team merited a seed, and hadn't bid to host, I don't know if perhaps the NCAA would contact that school and ask if they wanted to bid the minimum (even though the "bidding deadline" had passed) or not)
