Looks pretty good, but I'm starting to think Stony Brook in place of IN St.

No. If SBU loses, they won't have 7 DI wins. If SBU wins, they have the auto-bid.

Same goes for Liberty. Whoever wins that game is in, whoever loses is out.

Coach Wilder addressed ODU fans tonight at the basketball game:

"We didn't just knock on the door to the playoffs, we kicked the door down. It's time for us to win a National Championship."

We're ready to do some damage; this team has swagger. Be prepared bitches. :kisswink:

any ODU fans out there have video of Wilder at the basketball game tonight....since apparently that was the only highlight of the basketball game against UNI. :ohno:

Anyway, ODU deserves a BYE week in the playoffs.

When ODU gets to 30 playoff wins, then the nomenclature can be switched. :coffee:

Not a single mention of the 6-4 team that just knocked off #1 NDSU.

I feel our resume is a bit stronger than ILSU and INSU with a win over ILSU and a road win over NDSU.

I think many will agree with me. Hope all five can somehow make it.

the Ivy abstains due to a prohibition of postseason football,
the SWAC does not abstain, but they schedule their championship game (and perhaps some other games, I dunno) during one of the playoff weekends, which keeps the two SWAC division winners out of it. However I believe the other teams are technically still eligible for an at-large bid (unless they have some other schedule conflict)

It is my humble opinion that IF YSU, InSU and IlSU all win next weekend, IlSU is a lock at 8-3, and by virtue of a blowout win over WKU and a 2 point win over YSU, a 7-4 InSU gets in over a 7-4 YSU...just my opinion though...I also believe if IlSU loses and YSU and InSU win, IlSU is sent packing...My predictions kind of play what I think will happen next weekend as well

MVFC isn't getting 5 of 9. Ill State has the weakest resume of the 3 bubble teams with their horrible loss to E Ill.

-JMU has tough game at UMass.
-Wofford has tough game at Chatty.
-Indiana State and YSU have easier games.
All 4 have to win to remain in contention.

Indiana State, YSU, JMU, and Wofford if they win along with UCA have arguements for the last 4 spots.
One of those 5 isn't getting in (2 if Ill State upsets UNI).

Will be an interesting final week.

I posted this on eGriz (http://www.egriz.com/grizboard/viewtopi ... =1&t=53590):
I see the seeds being (first 4 in no particular order):

-Sam Houston State
-North Dakota State
-Big Sky champion (UM or MSU)
-CAA champion (ODU, Towson, or Maine)

And the 5th seed going to one of the following (in order of likelihood, IMO):
1. Georgia Southern
2. Northern Iowa
3. 2nd CAA team
4. Montana State (if UM takes the auto-bid)
5. Lehigh
6. Big South champ (Liberty or Stony Brook)
7. ....

I think GSU still has a good shot at getting a seed (even with a loss to Alabama to end the season) because they are the SOCON champion, would be 9-2, and have spent the majority of the season ranked in the top 5 in most polls. I really don't think Lehigh or the Big South champ would get a seed but you never know what will happen this next week, so I included them. Also, if MSU loses the Brawl, I doubt they get a seed, either (especially before one of the first three on that list).
What are everybody else's thoughts on seedings?

Also, PolskiNorsk did a good job compiling all the playoff eligibility information in a table so I wanted to share that, as well (if the link to eGriz didn't work).
Image

Clinched (4)
Norfolk State
Lehigh
Georgia Southern
Sam Houston State

Other Locks (8)
MSU-Bozeman
Montana
Towson
Maine
Old Dominion
North Dakota State
Northern Iowa
Central Arkansas

The 12 teams listed above are going to be in the playoffs regardless of what happens in the last week. Three more automatic berths will go to winners of one-bid conferences (Big South, Northeast, Ohio Valley). That leaves five more at-large spots for the rest of the field. The following teams will be solidly in by winning their last game, and could still qualify with a loss:
New Hampshire
Illinois State
Wofford
Appalachian State

The rest of these probably need some help to get in as an at-large:
Portland State
James Madison
Florida A&M / Bethune-Cookman (will play each other)
Indiana State
Youngstown State
Georgetown
Furman

As of right now, these would probably be the top five seeds:
1. Sam Houston State
2. MSU-Bozeman
3. North Dakota State
4. Georgia Southern
5. Northern Iowa

As it looks now, the Griz should be seeded with a win in Bozeman, and would probably still be in the top 12 with a loss. Let's just plan on them giving the committee an easy decision by winning the Big Sky next week.
