MSU @ Weber
Re: MSU @ Weber
I here ya, I've made the 4:30 crawl from Spec's to Lloyd, when i lived right there... let's just say thank god everyone was leaving the game, or i probably wouldn't have made it. Hopefully i start slow cause it's going to be one big party after that one.

Well anyone who is attending NBA games is stupid in the first placecatbob wrote:If you are say a Trailblazers fan, and you are at a Trailblazers game.. wearing a Griz shirt, then yes, I think that is stupid.Silenoz wrote: This is a bad thing?

Also, this from the Standard-Examiner:
Thanks for the fuel.
Griz-Cat is already going to decide the Big Sky, no matter what happens in Ogden this weekend (the Cats are gonna roll, I'm sure) and the Cats have a week off before playing the Griz, so it doesn't really matter. As a Griz fan, I actually hope the Cats beat Weber. It's not every year that the Griz-Cat game is a matchup of Top 10 teams. In fact, when was the last time, if ever?

Re: MSU @ Weber
You missed the Griz fan internal memo which told all fans to refer to the game as Griz/Cat. They have been trying to do this for the past several years. Yes, it is stupid.SACCAT wrote:It's Cat/grizSouthDakotaGrizzly wrote:

Definitely worth arguing about every year

Re: MSU @ Weber
Griz-Cat, just sounds stupid.
Cat-Griz, rolls off the tongue.

Re: MSU @ Weber
I have decided that I am going to put the name of the mascot at the end for the team that is hosting it. This year it is Griz-Cat!
When in Missoula it is Cat-Griz
When in Bozeman is is Griz-Cat
Simple replacement of the vs. with a - or a / and it all makes perfect sense.

It's actually 12-2 in the last 14 meetings.catbob wrote:Griz fans : wearing Griz gear to every sporting event since 1994.GrizFanStuckInUtah wrote:If I wasn't in Boise, I would go to this game again wearing my Griz gear. I got a lot of funny looks from both team's fans last time.![]()
Cats don't play very well on the road...
I was surprised to see how much MSU has had Weber's number the last few years. It's something like 9-2 in the last 11 meetings.

For the record, I'm on the overall series record bandwagon. When the kittens make up the 34 game deficit, I'll call it Cat-Griz. Until then, Griz-Cat it is.

Re: MSU @ Weber
Regarding the name: Maybe half (I think I'm being generous) of Griz fans call it Griz/Cat. Every other person calls it Cat/Griz. I have quite a few UM relatives, including my folks, who were UM grads and huge Griz fans. I grew up in Missoula attending Griz games. Never heard it called anything but Cat/Griz.

NO SHIT. All these so called Weber fans are worthless. As soon as it looks like the season is over, or even get a couple of early season losses, they all just start posting " at least basketball season is coming up soon ".grizcountry420 wrote:There's always basketball seasonweberwildcat wrote:this is not an interesting game. weber is done.

Weber fans are worthless? at least when we lose one conf game we arent calling for the coaches head
we are 3-5, the best we can do is 6-5 without playoffs, When there is nothing to fight for but a winning record, then your season is over.
Guess what, Basketball season is right around the corner. Weber is a hoops school, always has been always will be. Just like Montana is a football school.

Weber fans are good, I wish there were more of them. I was excited when I saw McBride's first game back as coach drew like 17,000k, but unfortunately wasn't able to sustain that support.
