The CAA is officially the most unpredictable league in CFB

Let's face it, nobody knows anything about the CAA after today...maybe a majority of us knew this already but what a crazy afternoon....

Can you imagine? The one team picked to finish last in the CAA wins it all?! :o

You'll never hear the end of just how good the CAA is.

Actually, I think it's clearing up. 3 of the previous top 4 teams won (Maine, UNH, and Towson) and JMU had a bye. The mid-pack seperated with ODU winning and Delaware/W&M losing, and the bottom teams all lost except for URI.

That said, I don't think the CAA has the best team this season (but we'll see in the playoffs), but this is clearly the best FCS conference this season.

The CAA might not have the best team but I also believe the FCS doesn't clearly have a #1 team this year.

What? Did you forget the winkie?

This is a bad CAA this year. I'd put the SoCon and Big Sky over the CAA this year with an option on the MVC once we see how the playoffs pan out.

I go by OOC statistics. I'd go CAA first...MVFC second with the SoCon a close third...and Big Sky fourth.

Don't come with some weak crap like wins over Duke. Just off the top of my head, ODU's OOC was an absolute joke and Delaware's 2-1 OOC consisted of getting smoked by Navy, a win over a dreadful DelState, and a nailbiter against D-2 juggernaut West Chester.

Don't waste your time. Even if you're right it doesn't really matter until the playoffs. :twocents:

And if things stay roughly the same, the horses Trip will be riding are Maine, Towson, JMU, and maybe ODU. Wouldn't bet those four against the field.

I think the CAA is still the best conference this year because it truly seems like anybody can beat anybody any week of the season.

That doesn't prove that you have the best conference. A conference of 11 crappy teams could make the same claim.

Yup, you wasted your time. I'd bet most of the OOC games took place in September. It's December that counts.

but if maybe 1 or 2 teams make deep runs in the playoffs, 1 wins the NC....

Which is why I've been saying wait until December.
