Re: Montana @ NAU Game Thread
Interesting stat from eGriz regarding the TOP:
NAU held the ball for 34:14.
UM held the ball for 24:44.
But both teams ran 68 plays.

Seems like there is 2:02 missing from the game

That's why TOP is a misleading, almost useless stat when you've got a no-huddle team.uofmman1122 wrote:Interesting stat from eGriz regarding the TOP:

# of plays is much more valuable.
I am surprised this game had no turnovers, though.

Re: Montana @ NAU Game Thread
I posted that fact over on eGriz, as I was tired of people saying our D was on the field too much and our TOP was horrid. Was the perfect game to prove my point that it is the number of plays a defense has to defend, not TOP.Mvemjsunpx wrote:That's why TOP is a misleading, almost useless stat when you've got a no-huddle team.uofmman1122 wrote:Interesting stat from eGriz regarding the TOP:

Have yet to get a response. Shocker.

Well, it's apparent that sanity just evaporates over there.SeattleGriz wrote:I posted that fact over on eGriz, as I was tired of people saying our D was on the field too much and our TOP was horrid. Re: Montana @ NAU Game Thread
This was a fun game to watch!
Edge of the seat kinda' stuff.
Souers is a terrific coach, and I feel kinda' bad for him after this loss, 'cause he's a great guy, and terrific coach! I'd be more than happy if he was still at Montana!
I'm gonna' enjoy this win, because, other than the game with Western Oregon, it's my opinion that this will be the last game the Griz will win this season

You're giving WSU the edge over us at home? Regardless of whatever struggles we ever have, we still have only lost one regular season game there in 6 years, and even that was only because we fumbled inside the 2 twiceGrizo406 wrote:This was a fun game to watch!

I've been a member on that board for a long time and usually get sucked back in every year because I like to read about the scrimmages and how the team looks in the off season, but have realized the board quickly goes downhill after the season starts.Silenoz wrote:That was your first mistakeSeattleGriz wrote:I posted that fact over on eGriz

And Weber just lost to Southern Utah at home, though that does put them in a must-win situation.Silenoz wrote:You're giving WSU the edge over us at home? Since I'm such a fan of Silenoz's probabilities:
Weber goes 0-2 vs. UM and MSU - 55%
Weber beats UM, but loses to MSU - 25%
Weber loses to UM, but beats MSU - 15%
Weber goes 2-0 vs. UM and MSU - 5%

Yes, I'm giving Weber the "edge" in this one...shame on me, huh!??!Silenoz wrote:You're giving WSU the edge over us at home? If proven wrong, I'd be more than happy to eat a big, steamin' dish of crow on 29 Oct. But, I don't think it's gonna' happen.
I want to have the faith I use to have in the Griz, but for some reason, it just seems to be gettin' harder, and harder to do so!
And, that hurts a lot!

Might have something to do with the fact that you're an EWU fan now?!?Grizo406 wrote:Yes, I'm giving Weber the "edge" in this one...shame on me, huh!??!Silenoz wrote: You're giving WSU the edge over us at home? Being the shallow and hypocritical person that I am, I have no problem sayin': "Yes, I'm now a fan of EWU!" to anyone that will listen!Grizalltheway wrote:Might have something to do with the fact that you're an EWU fan now?!?Grizo406 wrote:

If EWU hadn't won the National Championship and installed a breath taking playing surface on their home field, I might have thought differently...
None of the above happened, so I'm a fan of the Eagles...for now!
