Everybody in Dukes has been in Arizona too long. They must have forgotten that nothing is a foregone conclusion, much less a 47 yard field goal, when it's 10-20 below zero. I was in both Helena and Great Falls that day and it was miserable. Can't have been much better @ the game in Missoula.

This week another 4 game set and another chance to keep the perfect October rolling. Here are my predictions on the Big Sky games this weekend. Perfection? Maybe...
ISU at WSU---In what could be construed as a rivalry game, the Bengals make the short trip south to play the Wildcats, who had a bye last week to prepare. The Bengals, meanwhile, found scoring difficult in their mini-dome against Montana last week. How will they fare outdoors?...WSU 30, ISU 10.
NAU at MSU---Last week, the Lumberjacks could not stop the suddenly volatile Eastern Washington attack, while the Bobcats seemed to have the game in hand at Portland State only to make their fans very nervous at the end. This week, the Bobcats are back home while the Lumberjacks head up north where things can get a bit dicey in October...MSU 38, NAU 10.
UNC at EWU---Given up for dead, the Eagles are trying to resurrect their season, getting wins against Weber State and last week at Northern Arizona. They can't afford to overlook the Bears with both Sacramento State and Portland State on the horizon. The Bears, meanwhile, have been dead...EWU 24, UNC 14.
PSU at UM---This one is interesting. The Grizzlies have struggled on offense, yet they have to like going up against the porous Vikings secondary. The Grizzlies defense has slowed everyone down, yet the Vikings showed last week they can stack up yardage against one of the best run defenses in Montana State. But add into the mix the penchant for the Vikings to make stupid penalties and the fact that they have not won in Missoula since 1987, this game is easy to pick...UM 37, PSU 26.
I'm convinced that the best shot at an upset this week is PSU over Montana. That's not to say that it will happen, though. It's just that I don't think UNC's going to make a game of it against the defending national champions who seem to have their injury issues behind them for the most part, ISU has given up the ghost, and NAU doesn't have the stuff to beat the Kitties.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Yep. We are winning despite all of those injuries, not because they're behind us. Six players lost for the season completely, plus a bunch of other kids still waiting to get healthy. I think we will still have the TE playing Center this week. He's done a decent job after getting thrown to the wolves against MSU.
Portland St @ Montana - 31-17. I just wanna see what happens if the Viks can pull it out at WGS, I'm guessing society would crumble. I think we all might say; PSU??? for Real??? no, we musta played someone else.
Northern Arizona @ Montana St - 38-14 MSU will be just too much for NAU to handle, and maybe Ash lets Mcghee go wild, instead of going ultra conservative in the 2nd half.
Idaho St @ Weber St - 36-17 Weber, this one starts close and ends far apart.
Northern Colorado @ Eastern Washington - 42-14 Eastern, Stella starts getting her groove back.
i would like to see weber score 50. we had 45 and 49 vs unc and sac. i wanna see not just a win, but half a century against our rival! the team better come out strong after that ewu loss.

I watched the first half of the PSU/UM game with Grizza at the Swinging Doors in Spokane. PSU looked good! Considering EWU's inability to stop the run, I'm real worried about PSU before our bye, and Cal Poly after.

Our season will depend on the health of McCaffrey and if he can continue. He most likely was not going to play much if at all next week against Willamette, but we will need him against the FCS. We'll know more tomorrow about him, but our heir apparent freshman may need to grow up sooner than expected. I guess one good thing about scheduling the DIII is we can showcase some of the younger kids in cases like this.
Well when we win Saturday, next year and in 2013 we can say we beat them 11 years in a row
2008 in poca was the best win. that would have sucked to be an isu fan that didnt leave early. the big sky brought out the big sky champions trophy on the bengals field for us. im sure u were there. there was more wsu fans than isu in the dome.
Does anyone know how to get a copy of the game film showing the Weber kickoff that went through the uprights in that 2008 game in Pocatello?

I like your picks. However, your BEST chance to be wrong is probably the game in the Capital City. EWU has indeed improved over the course of the year. Sac will PROBABLY win that game, too, but that's the best chance for an upset. If Mr. Tiger loses to Willamette, I'll eat my hat.
The difference between MSU and UNC is such that I wouldn't even call that a "trap" game. The closest thing to that we have on the schedule is SUU, and I don't believe Weber will fall for that, either.
