Let's not ever mention that E Wash game again. The worst feeling I have ever had following a football game.
Even worse than after the game in Missoula that year?
I didn't expect to win that game in Missoula. But if we had won that game vs E Wash we would have been outright champs, and that game in Missoula would have been played in Ogden.

Nah, I still think the 2nd round game would have been played in Missoula, you know the saying "Money Talks" the only difference would have been Cal Poly coming to Ogden in round 1

Got to disagree. Montana was seeded, and no way in hell would they have been seeded over Weber if Weber would have won the conference outright (8-0 in conference and 10-2 overall), including a win over Montana.

Yeah but......... weber wouldnt have been seeded in the top 4 either so it would have come down to the bid package.

Montana was seeded #4. Weber would have easily gotten Montana's #4 seed, if not higher.

Still, that was probably the best team you fielded in the last 10 years, I enjoyed the one and done.
No. The '09 team was better. The '08 and '04 teams were also better from mid-October on than the '07 team.
'01 was kinda in the last 10 years, and they were obviously better too.
Agreed. In fact, the '07 team was a bit of a paper tiger. OOC schedule of SUNY-Albany, Fort Lewis and a very weak SUU...conference victories by 8 over weber, 1 over EWU, 14 over Sac State, 5 over NAU, 3 over PSU....lots of "close" calls...alot of Bobby Ball depending on Carps to get us out of trouble. He did many times, just not the one that really mattered....funny thing was, EVERYBODY in Dukes figured the 47-yarder was a foregone conclusion.

Everybody in Dukes has been in Arizona too long. They must have forgotten that nothing is a foregone conclusion, much less a 47 yard field goal, when it's 10-20 below zero. I was in both Helena and Great Falls that day and it was miserable. Can't have been much better @ the game in Missoula.
