Too bad they couldn't play each other this season. Both 5-1, both in or tied for 1st place in their conferences. The series between them has the potential to be huge.

If the series started this year, there would have been no doubt it would have been epic. Unfortunately the series doesn't start for another two years (2013) so who knows how good either team will be by then.

only two more wins in our final 5 games would put us at 7 wins and in a very solid position on the playoff bubble, 1 more to clinch our third straight winning season. I ask my fellow ODU fans to remain humble though because really it should come as no surprise we're 2-1 in the conference right now. We lost at Delaware which everybody expected and we won at Rhode Island which a lot of ODU fans expected. The only surprise was the UMass game. However, I'd give credit to VP's Rich Radford where he said in an online chat during the preseason that we'd either upset UDel or UMass. I pretty much implied he was crazy to think that but he turned out being right. In other words, everything from here on out is just gravy if you ask me.

ODU has been doing everything right so far and should be the standard bearer on how to build a successful Division I football program. Norfolk State always had potential in the area and I feel that something like this would be perfect to get their fanbase excited. And knowing some NSU fans and alums, that doesn't take much at all.
