I agree with that - heck, the Phils stole game 3 when you think about it.BlueHen86 wrote:Congrats to the Cards. Just like last year, when the Phils lost ot the Giants, the better team won. When the Phils lost game 2, after being up 4-0, I thought they were in trouble.

Surprisingly no. I do find it amusing how pathetic you are though, so thanks for cheering me up.Skjellyfetti wrote:u mad bro?93henfan wrote:

Yeah, maybe it's just the age but I don't take these losses as hard anymore. Heck, I stared at the tv for a solid hour after Joe Carter's hit. After this one I switched over to Shrek. Good movie.93henfan wrote:Surprisingly no. I do find it amusing how pathetic you are though, so thanks for cheering me up.Skjellyfetti wrote:

At least guys like Joltin Joe are out front the whole time. CitadelPussy only posts after a win and Analjelly doesn't have a team, he's just happy someone lost.

did I see a Cards player swinging around a stuffed squirrel in the clubhouse, or was I imagining things?

Same here. I really did expect this, so I'm not disappointed as much as I'm angry. LaRussa is a smart guy, he knew exactly how to take advantage of the Phils faults. The Phils are a stupid team at the plate, and now they have extended that to the base paths. I was hoping for a comeback, but they didn't deserve to win,

Don't cry, Philthies. You still have a chance to see the National League banner raised if you open on the road in St. Louis next season.

You're giving LaRussa too much credit - what did he tell his team to do? Throw strikes? What exactly did he do to get such kudos?BlueHen86 wrote:GannonFan wrote:

We've put up a couple of those and a World Series banner since your last one, so we're all good thanks.CitadelGrad wrote:Don't cry, Philthies. You still have a chance to see the National League banner raised if you open on the road in St. Louis next season.

Re: Phillies Parade
His team won. His bullpen sucks, but after game 1, every move he made worked. Pitching Carpenter on 3 days rest, so that he could pitch game 5 was smart too. Telling his pitchers not to throw strikes to Ryan Howard was also a good move.GannonFan wrote:You're giving LaRussa too much credit - what did he tell his team to do? Throw strikes? So you expect a loss in the World Series. Wow, that's exciting. We're number 2!CitadelGrad wrote:Don't cry, Philthies. You still have a chance to see the National League banner raised if you open on the road in St. Louis next season.

Re: Phillies Parade
Eh - choosing to pitch your ace twice in a series isn't imaginative, and really, if the Phils don't cough up a lead that move backfires in Game 2 and we don't even get to Game 5. And he didn't even need to tell his pitchers to not throw strikes to Howard - Howard wasn't even hitting the strikes so anything that didn't roll up to the plate was a good idea.BlueHen86 wrote:His team won. Nope. They raise the NL and WS banners at the same time.BlueHen86 wrote:So you expect a loss in the World Series. Wow, that's exciting. We're number 2!CitadelGrad wrote:Don't cry, Philthies. Then why didn't you say WS banner? You said NL banner. If my team wins the WS, I don't care about the NL banner. Congrats on being number 2!CitadelGrad wrote:Nope. They raise the NL and WS banners at the same time.BlueHen86 wrote:
