Um, pretty sure Democrats took over Congress in 2006... not 2008.
Also, the only number I checked out was the 2009 deficit... which was 1.4 trillion... not the ~1.85 trillion it shows on the chart.

No, believe it or not, gas was under $1.50 in Dec 2008. I know this because I am a pathetic data-dink who keeps a spreadsheet of my fill-ups. It's everyone's responsibilty. Partisan ideology has gone way out of control that neither side is currently doing a damn thing. Name one friggin thing EITHER side has done since they came back to town last month??
There's this super-committee that everyone seems to think will come up with a solution. I'll give a less than 5% chance that whatever they come up with would get passed.
The answer is to start all over - Campaign 469.
