Evolution vs Whatever
Just giving all the evolution pussies (looking at you D1B) a chance to brush up before I wax your azz.
That's right bitches, it is on! Part 5! Three days from now, you better bring your best shit. Tick tock.
Oh yeah, by Evolution, I mean we started from the primordial ooze and evolved into all the unique species today.

"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

Re: Evolution vs Whatever
Just a warm up, but how exactly is it scientific that the geologic column, or lack thereof, can be included in any discussion when the presupposition of said column is based upon evolution?
Circular reasoning.
"I believe my findings to be congruent with evolution because I am categorizing those findings based on my beliefs in evolution."

So? How did it happen? What exactly are you suggesting? Let's see some specifics, and I want it supported by empirical data, not the ramblings of some first century nut living in a cave.
Dear lord... please allow this dangerous combination of hair spary, bat slobber, and D.O.T. four automatic transmission fluid to excite my mind, occupy my spirits, and enrage my body, provoking me to kick any man or woman in the back of the head regardless of what he or she has or has not done unto me. All my Best, Earlie Cuyler.

God put us here, as we are. It's only a coincidence that we are similiar to other animals. We shared this land and survived whilst living amongst Dinosaurs and going through Ice Ages that no other land animal could tolerate and withstand. Your science is the Devil's work and you're going to hell with all the other scientists, queers, women and Protestants.

Re: Evolution vs Whatever
How about this one. People who believe that we evolved from primordial ooze often scoff at Creationism because they just can't believe we were created (not saying this is my belief), from nothing. But isn't that exactly what Evolution is proposing, but you throw in time as the catalyst.death dealer wrote:So? How did it happen? What exactly are you suggesting? Sheer genuis! If only Creationists would have said God slowly created man. There! They are equal!

Creationism is saying that there is some sort of supreme being that created everything, without needing a creator itself. Evolution is proposing that things happened without the intervention of any divine powers.

Exactly, abiogenesis. Something from nothing...but done really slowly. The math to even get something like that off the ground is mind boggling.Vidav wrote:Umm no.SeattleGriz wrote:

Re: Evolution vs Whatever
Figure I should throw this in early in the thread.
I don't know how we came to be on this Earth, but I tend to lean toward Intelligent Design.
I started this thread to have a fun discussion amongst CS.com members over what I believe to be the shortcomings of Evolution. As always, my line of attack will be to try and poke holes in Evolution and point out the many assumptions that have to be made to support that theory.

Not a bad movie. Some funny parts.

The combination of saying that you will point out the many assumptions that have to be made in evolution but saying you lean toward intelligent design. ID requires one to make many assumptions. That is why I bolded both sections.SeattleGriz wrote:Why do you believe Intelligent Design is coffee worthy?Vidav wrote:

Agreed, and that is why I can only attack Evolution, for I know there is no way to prove any one theory.Vidav wrote:The combination of saying that you will point out the many assumptions that have to be made in evolution but saying you lean toward intelligent design.
