EWU tried to give the game to Weber by allowing a 51 yard pass on 4th and 23 with 30 seconds left.

an amzing play, only to be followed up by fumbling the ball on 1st or 2nd down on the 20 to end the game with 20 sec left.SeattleGriz wrote:EWU tried to give the game to Weber by allowing a 51 yard pass on 4th and 23 with 30 seconds left.
it wasnt just that play. ewu dline schooled us, 4 sacks, we had lots of hold penalties. 10 for 90 yds. our only turnover was our last paly!!!!!!

Re: EWU wins a game, 1-4, beat Weber State
Renard Williams finally showed up to play some and our ends had some nice plays. I was a little surprised, I thought Weber's O-Line would push us around.weberwildcat wrote:an amzing play, only to be followed up by fumbling the ball on 1st or 2nd down on the 20 to end the game with 20 sec left.SeattleGriz wrote:EWU tried to give the game to Weber by allowing a 51 yard pass on 4th and 23 with 30 seconds left.![]()

I had a hunch Weber might lose this game, even with Eastern's injuries. My preseason picks for Weber's games are spot on so far, losses @ Wyo, @ Utah St, and @ E Wash, and wins vs Sac St and @ No Col. MSU is clearly the best team in the conference. And it isn't even close.

i predicted us to go 6-5 in the summer, same for you? after sac n unc games i was thinking 7-8 might really happen. we needed an ewu win for that to happen.WeberAlum02 wrote:I had a hunch Weber might lose this game, even with Eastern's injuries. 6-5 is meeting expectations even for a good team. our schedule is really though this yr. anything better than 6-5 is exceeding. a losing record is a failure of course for this team.

Yeah, I had us going 6-5 as well. But I also predicted wins vs SUU and @ PSU, both of which could end up being losses.weberwildcat wrote:i predicted us to go 6-5 in the summer, same for you? after sac n unc games i was thinking 7-8 might really happen. we needed an ewu win for that to happen.WeberAlum02 wrote:I had a hunch Weber might lose this game, even with Eastern's injuries. How bad is Weber this year?

NDSU should schedule them and find out. That is if the NFL will let you guys schedule down to the FCS.JBB wrote:How bad is Weber this year?

Any game can be lost, but enough of loser talk. I am planning on Weber victories from here on out.
Re: EWU wins a game, 1-4, beat Weber State
Either Weber is bad or they had a real bad afternoon? Bill Fette must have been around?
EWU is terrible. You can look at this two ways:
1) even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then
or
2) this is a game they can build on
Either way this has to be a blow to Weber.

Re: EWU wins a game, 1-4, beat Weber State
We're not terrible. We're missing a multitude of starters on both offense and defense, to include 4 starters on the offensive line. We have guys starting on the O-Line that weren't even on the pre-season 3-deep roster and a converted Tight End starting at Center and our LB corp is decimated as well. A pre-season all-American WR out, a starting corner out. I don't care who you are, when you have that many injuries to that many key players, you're going to struggle to win games. If we can get even a few of the injured guys that aren't lost for the season to the point where they can contribute even a little then I could see the Weber game as a catalyst to gain some momentum. When this team is relatively healthy, they can still compete with anyone.

Don't expect a simpleton like JBB to understand that. You'd think he would, considering the throat injury he sustained at the NDSU player meet and greet.EWURanger wrote:We're not terrible. I would say that, despite the reasoning applied by Ranger, those things DO make you terrible, at least for the time being.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Don't expect a simpleton like JBB to understand that.
