San Francisco 49ers Practicing at YSU All Week

The DeBartolo's of course own the 49ers and they are from Youngstown. Instead of flying back to SF from Cincy, only to fly back east to Philly this weekend, they are in town all week practicing at Stambaugh Stadium, home to the DeBartolo Stadium Club, and at The WATTS (DeBartolo Family Lobby).

Here are some pictures of today's practice.... This worked out perfect since YSU has a BYE this week.

Other than NDSU, that probably has to be only NFL team to ever step foot on that field.

SF Asst. Jim Levitt of course coached at USF. YSU Coach Eric Wolford coached under him at USF as an Asst.

that is pretty cool. i live in the bay but after all those fights and 2 shootings at the 9ers/raiders game, it is too ghetto for me to see a game at candlestick. i hope youngstown st beats the 9ers!

their new stadium plan was in today's paper, 49ers are leaving SF. new stadium is 10 min from where i live in San Jose. They have suites for sale already. 160k to 500k per season, seats 16 people. Seems a bit pricey to see Alex Smith play. lol

It will likely come down to Seattle and SF though in December at Qwest (I refuse to call it by it's new name). Rams have a brutal front schedule and are getting hit with the injury bug hard, and Arizona... well, there's not much to say about them.

Hawks and Niners both have top-10 defenses though so that's cool.

THAT's why they're practicing at YSU...they'll feel right at home.

Not too good, sadly. He is only averaging 2.5 yards a carry. His best days are behind him. I can't really tell for sure yet but I think Kendall Hunter is the future back of the team. I hope Gore comes around though.
