DuckDuckGriz the reference was to the big hits and the phyisical nature of the game. Much more intense then a typical FCS game.

Big time player, big time plays, beats Big Ten Charter Member. Constent pressure. colton Heagle the Golden Eagle. Prayers are out to him he didnt return to the game.

As far as the dumb ass Mike McFeely is concerned this was all about Gopher failure. It doesnt matter that the big sports announcer picked the Gophers by 10 or so. He just doesnt know much about the game, but he does know how to undermine everything that is NDSU.

Call it any way you want. NDSU won this one. Its a big win and legitimizes the BISON.

NDSU has depth and talent from top to bottom of the roster. Its one of the subtle strengths.

Expect a Gopher collapse. They have had the stuffing knocked out of them. But dont hold that against the BISON, its the BISONs fault after all. Remember how good the Gophers were after the USC game?

Mike McFeely is about the worst broadcaster in the world. He predicted the Gophers will beat NDSU. Talks about coaching, scholarships, facilities, level of competition, over estimating NDSU etc etc. Now, The Gophers are terrible!

Caught the end of the first half on a bar tv at the wedding i was at... i was surrounded by gopher fans - and I went nuts on that pick 6... then - awkward silence... it was awesome.

It's a nice win for the Bison but lets not overlook how bad Minnesota is. Face it if Minnesota was in a top FCS conference like CAA, Big Sky, or MVC they would be above .500 at best. Again great win and should give the Bison a push into the top 5 in the rankings.

It's too bad GSU bought out of the NDSU game. It would be epic, but playing at Wofford, at App. State, at Fargo, and at Alabama would just be too much for one season.

Hey PWNS, first Ive heard from a GSU fan about buying the NDSU game out and the explination is a good one! Maybe we will get to play later in the year or some time down the road.

A lot of folks are trying to qualify the BISON win with the statement the Gophers are bad. Its kind of like a BISON Attraction Indicator. The more you dislike NDSU the worse the Gopher team is!

Im listening to Sid and Dave right now. They just got done talking about how good the BISON are. They say NDSU is good enough to play in the Big 10. I think thats true too.

Good win for NDSU, I know its your SuperBowl. But so far you can beat the FCS Cupcakes and the FBS Cupcakes (Minny is no better than some mid-FCS teams..remember South Dakota beat them last year). But you need to win conference games, and that is what will tell you how good NDSU is. If you beat SDSU, N. Iowa, SIU then we will praise you as a great team. But for now I am not so sure.

I finally know how UND fans feel about beating a Gopher hockey team. Ever since UND became a hockey school, sometime in the middle of the NDSU D2 football dynasty, UND fans have been having a great time playing them in teh hockies.

Just imagine how NDSU fans feel playing and beating the Gophers in the biggest college sport there is: FOOTBALL!

At NDSU the primary sport on Campus is Football.

Key stat: 6-9 on third down conversions for the BISON! Jenson looked like Steve Walker out there. Calm and cool, finding the open receivers, throwing accurate passes, presenting a very dangerous running threat, he has it all.

Defense: NDSU had 2 INTs, contained Gray all night and neutralized Shortell, contained their passing game and stopped the big play most of the night.

Points off Turn Overs: 14 for the BISON! Both INT returns for TDs. NDSU has 122 return yds on the INTs!

Overview:

Evenly matched teams. NDSU had stronger lines on both sides of the ball. Gophers have a very good running game that looks better under Shortells leadership. They have 2 good running backs and their O line likes to pull and sweep.

NDSU runs the bootleg like its some kind of option play. I saw a lot of improvement in the game plan. Jensen is executing at QB allowing things to get more sophisticated. I saw some very good execution.

Good teams should play well against weaker opponents. Minnesota has a full roster of BCS/FBS players. If the Gophers are a bad team the BISON did what they were supposed to. In my opinion the BISON are very good. They beat a team last night that is certainly good enough to be the FCS national champions. They might not be as good as ISU or some of the other FBS teams that have big wins over FCS squads this season, but they are a very good football team none-the-less.

Let me know when it's fixed. I just put JBB on ignore and that has fixed the problem, but I don't like using the ignore feature.
