UND has black hills state this weekend in another big inter-division contest.

I felt sorry for UND after the FSU game. It was close because FSU had a real bad night. They scored when they had too with seeming ease and won. But it really ignited the UND fans. They were really celebrating the, well for lack of a better word, "win", at least you would have thought it was a win.

On top of that the FCS coaches ranked them 21 which they also celebrated until it became clear the ranking was not warranted and a mistake was made. A little embarassing for a fan base all too eager to brag and all too short of anything meaningful to brag about.

Joel Maturi sure was talking BISON Football today. Continuation of this series is a certainty. He says the coaches dont like it because there is nothing to gain for the Gophers. Of course, the Gophers are taking their Minnesota recruiting connections for granted when they say that but thats good for the BISON.

Maturi went on to say the game was a great event for the region. It has wide spread interest and is drawing like crazy. Minneaplis/St. Paul is jammed packed tonight because of this game. It may not sell out because they just released 3,000 student tickets to the general public but it has generated enough box office to keep the Gophers business office happy and looking forward to more games!

I think its great. It is a tremendous rivalry especially for the North Dakota side. A fun David/Goliath matchup that has and is garnering the regional and national spotlight. A big game by any measure!! 8-)

<<<<<<<GAME ALERT>>>>>>>>

TV/STREAMING:

The game is telecast on the Big Ten Network at 6PM.

Its available on line to cable customers whose providers carry the Big Ten Network. Charter and Direct TV are two carriers that do. It works like ESPN3. You log in, google big ten network, authenticate your new account and away you go. I am logged in and watching now. I just missed the NDSU/Gopher outlook for tomorrow but did get the USD/Wisconsin outlook. They say USD is going to lose big big big.

Game day!!!! The roads to Minneapolis will soon be jammed with BISON fans heading to the big game. Dawn greets us with the news from the Mighty NDSU Football Conglomerate that Daniel Eaves will not play today due to injury. This ia a blow to the mighty BISON Defense.

On the other hand this is what great coaching is all about. 63 talented, highly recruited players are ready. When one door closes another opens. Daniel Eaves will be on the sideline but that will giva another BISON and chance to shine.
The strength of the Herd is the BISON, the strength of the BISON the Herd!
Its unclear if the nights activity is surrounding the game plan. Its difficult to tell as we moniter the situation from the scene of the Perstigioius Faboulous Fargo Dome. Of course the venue is not set up for game day as the field offices have been moved into position around TCF Stadium. The Fabulous Fargo Domw today will serve as a back-up command center.

There are NDSU fans, still few in numbers, walking about the TCF grounds. The stadium is a magnificant place. In the morning light kick-off seem years away.

There is a clear excitement in the air. There is a tremendous amount of anticipation. The NDSU Coaches and players have not been seen since yesterday. They will move over to TCF sometime early to middle afternoon. Coach Bohl will have small group meetings between coaches and players at the hotel. The team will then depart for the mobile headquarters facility before entering the stadium and sequestering in the locker rooms for final preperation.

The NDSU legions will continue to grow throughout the day. There is a a confidence, a determination coming from the fans. I can hear the rolling stones from somewhere off in the shadows of the morning:

I got nasty habits, I take tea at 3....

Yesterday during the McFeely Call in the first hour it was all Bison. Predicitions had them winning by a whisker to a route. Probably average score was 24-14 NDSU. The second hour things turned around and tit-floppers score looks about right on target for the fans predicting a Gopher win.

It's a "rout", JaBBer. A "route" is something run by a receiver. Ask one of your UND friends, they learn that stuff in college.

Just wanted to stop in and wish the Minnesota Gophers the best of luck today, although they won't need it, in stomping the prairie cows back into their place, which is a .500 or less team.

Gophers give up 3 sacks on second pos. NDSU with a long TD drive. Gophers 7, NDSU 14. Gophers as a team looks flat after TD drive.

This is one great football game. Lets play Every year!!! Go BISON.

Jerry Kill is a great coach. A great clock manager, but this time he ran 1 too many plays. With no time left on the clock the BISON Defense forces a bad throw and an INT that ends the half, after an incredible fumble and recovery advanced to the end zone for TD, 28-14 BISON.

Stats are coming. This is a very good football game.

BISON defense overwhelming. 3 or 4 sacks and a score. Turnovers in favor of NDSU.

Both teams have very good running games.

BISON have shown more balance and have big plays both running and passing.

BIg 10 type game. Big Game. GO BISON!!!!!

With all the NFL players on the Bison, the Gophers don't stand a chance. Hope we can keep it up.

<<<<<<<<<<FOOTBALL NOTE>>>>>>>>>>

We do have several players that are legit NFL prospects and are getting NFL interest. That qualifies that position as NFL quality.
