Maybe Im wrong but i thought prognostication had to do with the future?

Its hard to tell. There has been some discussion among friends about exactly what it was you were saying. Maybe its your handwriting?

You are out-on-a -limb if you think you are correct on your calls for Saturday night AZGrizFan. When I called the upset of USD over the defending national champions I explained myself and that was exactly what happened! You got nothing here except a hope and a prayer.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Really? Have you looked at their stats?

Gray averages 109 yards rushing per game. Against FBS competition. And had 171 against the Miami (Ohio).

The team averages over 175 yards per game rushing. Again, against FBS competition.

The team averages right at 200 yards per game passing. Against FBS competition.

NDSU's leading rusher averages 115 yards per game. Against high school teams.
NDSU has averaged right at 200 yards per game passing. Against High School teams.
NDSU has averaged 206 yards per game rushing. Against high school competition.

I feel fairly confident in my yardage predictions for Gray and the Minnesota offense relative to NDSU's offense.

Now, he MIGHT not accomplish the passing yardage because they'll be running all day long to burn clock after they go up by three/four scores so rushing yarding might be WAY up, sacrificing passing yardage. Conversely, NDSU will have to desparately go to the pass by midway through the 2nd quarter, adversely affecting their rushing stats even more. I will bet that Ojuri doesn't get 15 carries because they'll have to abandon the running game too quickly to try and catch up.

IF (and that's a large IF) Minnesota doesn't win by more than 17, it'll be becuase they're playing all their scrubs in the 4th and NDSU scores a couple garbage TD's late to make the score more respectable than the game really was, and not representative of the beat down adminstered by the Golden Gophers.

:coffee:

Now, I realize YOU don't read the stats that way, because that would be contrary to your myopic view of all things NDSU...but that's the way most sane, logical, unbiased posters view the game. :coffee:

None of what you say is accurate. None.

Look, I'm sure you and your vast experience of >40 posts has it all figured out around here - now let me drop me and my 6,600 on you.

lakes and JBB get both what they want and deserve around here. They spew nonsense, rampant and blind homerism and boosterism to the point that they either ignore or are incapable of seeing their teams flaws and weaknesses. They are the "Superfans" of SNL fame, writ on the FCS level.

No no - they start thread after thread doing one of two things - 1. describing how the Bison will find a way to win the FCS Championship this and every year 2. Bashing and attacking UND (a team we haven't played in nearly a freaking decade) - but only to prove how "over" UND they are...

These ass-clowns have done their level best to ensure that the entirety of the online FCS fan community regards NDSU as the Notre Dame of FCS. The one everyone loves to see lose, if only to shut up their loud-mouthed, cocky and full-of-shit fans.

It's jokers like them that have done such a good job of undermining how awesome the last decade has been for me as a fan of the program. To see the incredible success in going D-I, making the NCAA tournament, making the FCS playoffs... but guys like this - filled with message board machismo - boast that not only did we win the Summit League - we'll beat Kansas and roll to the elite 8... not only did we make the FCS playoffs in our third year of eligibility, we'll roll to Frisco... and when we fell short, the collective schadenfreude from the broader community could only be expected.

Honestly - I love watching the rest of this community beat these idiots to a pulp on a regular basis. Hijacking their nonsensical threads about how many touchdowns the Bison will beat LSU by in a hypothetical game - or boasting about how the serviceable and decent Fargodome is somehow a top 10 FCS facility - or talking about moving up to FBS because we've "proven ourselves already" in the FCS - is exactly what should happen to mindless spam.

They have a reputation - they've earned it. Until proven otherwise, every word they type is likely the dumbest thing you will read in a given day... and this is a message board with D1B and JoltinJoe... so think about that...

As an NDSU fan who believes we ought to be humble in victory and gracious in defeat, the only thing better than the daily battering these fools take would be for them to either get a clue, or fade away.

Thats a good read on Thursday before the game. Minnesotas scholarship advantage alone deserves that.

Thats why this game will be an upset. Minnesota is favored to win.

I bet the big gambling man would take the BISON and the points. Go for it gambling man!

On the one hand you want to make a lot of the competition Minnesota has played while on the other you want to belittle Minnesota as a bad team. You do this because you think that somehow diminishes NDSU. You also belittle NDSUs opponents for the same reasons. Im confused by your myopic behavior but its understandable when you react emothionally as you do, rather than thinking things through, as the more intelligent among us do.

Everyone is aware of what a threat Gray is. Even if he gets his 100 yds its not game over, but the key is of course to stop him. If you dont you have to make up for his production someplace else. The best bet for the BISON is the passing game.

If you take Gray out of the picture, and thats what I mean by stopping or slowing his rushing down, Minnesota has nothing on the ground. Chances are they wont be up three or four scores and will be doing a lot of passing and scrambling on third and long.

The Minnesota pass defense is suspect enough so that the shining but suspect NDSU pass offense could really make a statement, which of course would back the Gophers off so our talented running backs could go to work.

Thats how I see it.

There are some good things being said by the University of Minnesota Athletic Director Joel Maturi. The Big 10 plans on going to 9 conference games which has been thought to be a harbinger signaling the end of the Big 10 compeition, but maybe not so:
One other scheduling note, Minnesota AD Joel Maturi was on Dizzo’s Den with Jody Norstedt last night, he told Jody that playing NDSU “definetly is in the cards” despite the fact that the Big Ten goes to 9 conference games in 2017.

That would be fabulous! An annual Gopher game would be the best thing that could happen to NDSU, the Gophers and the two states.

Could you at least come up with an original thought?

And please point out where, in that post, I belittled Minnesota as a "bad" team. They ARE, in my opinion, a below average FBS team, that has played far tougher competition than the 2 high school teams NDSU has lined up against, and I expect NDSU will be their toughest game to date, and they (UM) will still win by 2 scores.
